 		Right folk, today we had a chat with the PM: Doyon and it lead to quite some interesting information. Frankly we missed some puzzles, didn't get the solves, and the last seal was haunted by the idea that we might've gotten the answer wrong!

Below, the highlights!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. Beatrix is not the author of the letters! In fact, she didn't even take part in this episode. Someone forged her name to hide the true author behind the letters: Solvej. How do we know? Because there is one letter, the 8th letter reveals the true identity. Yep, that's right folk: there is another password for the 666.php pop up:
- All of the 'Beatrix' letter contain a year:
1587 - 1646 - 1706 - 1765 - 1825 - 1884 - 1944
- They hold the following pattern:
+59 / +60 / +59 / +60 / +59 / +60
- That means that after 1944 it would be +59 which gives us the year 2003. Enjoy the blood spattered letter, signed Solvej.

2. We noticed early on that all the letters had this weird extension: p1-AmtIX.jpg, p1-cmh.jpg, p1-eoe.jpg, p1-epy.jpg, p1-odr.jpg and p1-slv.jpg
- The final clue does refer to this: using the filename AmtIX.jpg and the clue "Remove Letters SIX".
- amtixcmheoeepyodrslv without the SIX is amtcmheoeepyodrlv.
- It took a bit, but eventually we unraffeled that this is an angram for 'Come To My Help Derva', the latest blog entry at yellowcurtain.com also refers to this.

3. The final clue: the correct answer.
Based on the above it doesn't take long to figure out what the final answer is: Derva. She is the Contact.
- Once you insert Derva get the same letter when entering Entian or Lucian.
- When you look at the scoreboard/closing credits you see that there is a link: CONGRATULATION, GOOD ANSWER!
- The link shows another letter from Derva, and a File ID: 66211. You need to insert this in the qadhos datastore, here you will see the full image.

That's a short summary of all the puzzles/answers we missed and the chat with Doyon. Hope it makes sense to those who weren't there!

Also, don't forget to wear your tinfoilhat: the apocalypse is coming, and so is BTYC Ep. 5!

Just wanted to post some info from Bobby, who we know now to be Lucian, and how I agreed to help him, or how he decided to use me...

Because he said he didn't have access any longer I passed on the letters we received from ELC pages 14&15. Also I told how difficult it would be again re solve info. I shared some of this on the #IBF chat, but here for all;

You can use http://backdoor.qadhos.com/ to broke the final 3 seals. This is a secured scrambled access. If you crack it they won't be able to retrace the result. Yet we will be able to move forward. If you broke the last seal first trough the Backdoor, this will shutdown the web access on qadhos.com.

So it looks like I missed all the fun however I'm now netbooked up which should make it easier for me to participate next time around.

This is my first episode of btyc

I was pulling my hair on how to convert those base64 strings into working jpgs

converting them with http://home.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/ and pastinf to any text editor didnt work, since all the editors (even notepad++) hanged NULL sign to ? or �

I was looking for previous BTYC threads but dind find the answer

finally i found online solution

http://www.mobilefish.com/services/base64/base64.php

after you put base64 string in you gate error message:

The output contains control characters and can not be shown in the textbox.
Instead the decoded data is saved into a file.

Download Download file

Click the Download and rename the file afterwards to name.jpg
DONE!
