[Viral] "There's Something In The Sea" - Bioshock 2? Just saw this on Joystiq, dunno if it was posted here.
http://www.somethinginthesea.com/
Not much to it yet, but someone found another .swf with more dates filled in that hint at upcoming dates when stuff will take place.
Don't know if they'll be doing anything more with it but we'll see.

"There's Something In The Sea" - Bioshock 2? Hey guys, I found this weird website at www.somethinginthesea.com and I think its reference to the Bioshock 2 trailer (the doll in the picture looks just like the one from the trailer) and the website looks like it could be the start of something. Any thoughts?

Quite possible: I pulled up the whois information on the page, and while they did a domains by proxy registration, the list of domain servers makes that relatively useless.

I made this topic like 10 minutes before this one buttt... whatever.
Yeah it's for Bioshock 2, pretty obvious Joystiq had it on their site, etc etc.

Yeah, we must have posted at the same time because I didn't see yours until after I had posted mine. Anyways, I've read the Joystic article now too and you're right. It does seem to be Bioshock 2 related. ARG though? Still not sure. Can anyone get source on the images or the website?

I saw this on IGN. One thing that's interesting is the date is 1967, and the first game took place in 1960. So it might not be a prequel...

Kotaku has posted this info as well, they also have a photo of a poster attached to a phone/electrical pole?

-The image has been shamelessly hotlinked from their server.

Nice find on the poster... If I had to venture a guess, the fact that there are posters like that going up in the real world might make it slightly more likely that we might get an ARG out of this... Again though, just speculation. They are doing a pretty decent job though with their viral marketing.

Has anyone been able to analyze the sound off the page yet? There are barely audible voices and beeps! Sounds Fishy!

Why would that make it less likely?
Posters, letters, and other methods like that have been used in plenty of ARGs, right?
