A career in Alternate Reality Gaming?
How does someone get into the ARG industry?

Does anybody know what it takes to get into the ARG industry? Or know who or what agencies develop them?

I'm a recent college grad and it's something I'm really interested in!

Not that many companies that actually make ARG's any more. At least for profit anyways.
I'd suggest possibly getting into a job either related to video game design or advertising. Then suggest an ARG to 'enhance the experience' or 'promote awareness of some product or other' respectively. Though you may went to present concrete ideas of what you'd like to do in this vein, make a professional pitch, etc... if you want to be taken seriously.

Of course if you don't care about money, get some friends interested in the idea and put one on yourself (*NOTE* Takes lot's of planning and preparation, and even then you won't be ready as your players will do everything they can to break your game, so you gotta go with the flow, perhaps changing details as you go.)
