I can see that this thread devolved into a wild debacle in my absence.

Please guys, you're thinking beyond the scope of what's being presented to you. Try to take everything in context, as MarbleHornets itself is not an ARG. The only reason it qualifies is because of the puzzle elements in Totheark's videos.

Analyze footage like you're trying to guess the ending of a movie, you'll get better results.

It looks more like a window with blinds to me, but I still think that was Slendy there.

I have to go with that thing being a blackboard...

And if I'm not mistaken, that white thing on the table is a Wii :O

LOL

I like that you actually posted a picture of a blackboard.

Honestly, it could be either, but I really don't think it *matters*. It's just something that's kind of there in the background.

Also, I'm gonna have to largely agree with Demongel.

Flipping between 0:30 and 1:40, I noticed the room gets a lot brighter on the second showing (if you don't believe me, check out the box in the lower righthand corner of his room).

I see the camera shift from 2:02 to 2:08, as well as between 0:30 and 1:40. It could be the way his surveillance cameras are set up.

There seem to be four sections to the entry (not counting J's final addendum), separated by the effect on the timer (which is consistently formatted HOUR:MINUTES:SECONDS.MILLISECONDS):
- The timer in the first section is extremely small, and has a framecount overlayed onto it. The framecount covers the last seconds digit and the milliseconds.
- The second section has no timer.
- The timer in the third second is longer but the same height. There is a small chunk of white between the hours and minutes digits, possibly from overlap (hiding another zero). Also, at 1:58 there is a stray pixel to the left of 033
- The timer in the fourth section is taller and less long. It is overlayed onto another larger timer. Only the "00:00:" of the lower timer is visible.

Other than to mark the video into distinct sections, I am not sure what the timer changes are for.

I don't know where you're getting any of those... except the last.

EDIT: I mean, isn't it pretty obvious that they're outside surveillance? Just look at the lighting.

I don't think it's obvious at all, hence all of the speculation.

I think that it is flipping through different surveillance channels in his house, and as soon as he leaves his room and is "teleported", the image on the tv looks like somebody is looking directly into the camera.

I dunno. I don't think it's outside, though, I think it is in the house.

I did my best to make up a floorplan of Jay's place given what camera shots we could see from... I don't know if it will serve a purpose or not in the future, but it might help.

Something's definitely not quite right with it, though. XD I still think that it's a really odd apartment plan. I mean, I've seen a lot of different floorplans and none of them have their front door entering directly into the living room... they SHOULD all have a boot room or tiny hall + closet or something. Or maybe that's just Canadian apartments...? Anyways, it seems weird that Jay would block off his living room like that.

In any case, I attempted to incorporate the cameras that we see in the order that we see from them. Whatchoo think?

Most often they have a little hallway or something, but my last apartment didn't. It was just a door into the living/dining rooms, the only distinction was like 6 little tiles to keep the carpet clean.

I don't remember if he has his own apartment, but could it possibly be a dorm room? The walls and doors look more like that to me, though it seems pretty big for a one-person dorm. Or maybe there's a second bedroom that we just don't see.

(Also I love the happy little Masky outside.)

I agree, the walls in #19 immediately screamed "DORM ROOM!" to me (yes, in allcaps!) and I couldn't shake that. The wood paneling is maybe more subtle (seems more expensive for a dorm room than just a shitty paint job like my various rooms used to be) but that could be an artifact of an older building, where they still put a tiny shred of effort into decorating. XD) but the whole layout seems pretty dorm-like to me.

And I wouldn't pass it up based on its sized. Our one-room pads were quite large. (Damn, that kid is loaded, having a car, a big possible dorm place, all those cameras, etc. XD Then again, it's amazing what you can do when you're not wasting all of your cash on booze...!)

No it's not [a dorm room]. My apartment is just really cheap looking.

XD So there you go! (If of course Ce Gars really is Jay. Who can say for sure!

(Damn you MH, you have me lurking on SA. XD Nothing good can come of this!)

Potentially! People have speculated that Slendy is standing in the corner in the very beginning. It could also be a camera tripod or something, so I drew in both!

...We waited this long for that? :C I am very dissappoint. Not that I'm not grateful to the MH cast for all they've done, but it just seems like a bit of a cop-out to have another "I got up and walked off and have no idea where I went" video.

Woah. Watching that tv part again, does anyone else see the white semi circle in the lower left? It looks like a shoulder, or part of someones mask!

One thing I've noticed upon further review... it looks like the face-like object that shows on the TV pops up just as J heads through the door into... wherever he ends up. And it looks as though the image is semi-transparent; I'm fairly sure I can make out parts of the background through it.

I suppose this blows my "lost time is just forgetfulness" theory out of the water, anyway. Unless the apartment forgets that he's in it?

I still don't buy the teleportation thing.

He did say two hours had passed since he was next seen. Someone could have easily edited the tapes, and with the differences in time between the two feeds leads me to say that try as they might to synchronize the video again, it wasn't perfect. Human error, you know?

So, now I'm just going to wait for the next TTA vid. Wonder what's gonna happen.
