I believe the reason why the split screen part has the side showing the tv 3 seconds in the future is because something in Jay's room happened after the tv changed a second, which is a second after he left and disappeared. We are made to think we see what goes on in Jay's room after he left and the tv changed in the split screen part (2:38-2:54 youtube clock) but it's an illusion. The screen with the tv is 3 seconds ahead of the screen of Jay's room. I know this because the sound of Jay's bedroom door closing is at 1:41 youtube clock (18 seconds Jay clock) when he disappears and a second later when Jay should have closed his door from the bedroom side the tv will change to the face at 19 seconds Jay clock. Though on the split screen part (2:38-2:54 youtube clock) the tv changes to the face at 16 seconds Jay clock both split screen play-through's. We are tricked in to thinking Jay's room is safe and empty but we are missing 3 seconds of surveillance footage in Jay's room, in addition too the 2 hours Jay is gone from the whole house (which we believe to be empty). Why are we missing 3 seconds of surveillance footage in Jay's room and why are we being tricked in to thinking we weren't because something went on in there. Someone edited this tape but messed up on one crucial detail, (intentional? if so maybe it's a cryptic message left by the editor) the bedroom door making the sound of being closed at 18 seconds Jay clock one second later the face changing at 19 seconds jay clock all of this between 1:41-1:43ish youtube clock. Or maybe I'm looking at this whole thing backwards and its 3 seconds taken away from surveillance footage of Jay at a different time, that could explain Jay's sudden disappearance after leaving his bedroom. Use my findings while I continue to understand this.

WhenYouGoMad, do you have any idea the methods a person would have to use to completely incapacitate someone, silently, in 3 seconds while also managing to get the body out of the camera's vision AND the cameras around the house?

Perhaps its my already terrible eyesight playing tricks on me, however, during the first 18-26 seconds of the clip where we first see into Alex's house. Is there something in the background? I'm not sure what it is, but I want a double opinion before I freak myself out for the morning and say its slenderman or something along those lines. Of course if it isn't just excuse me blindness, and carry on.
