Well, there are still the "notgps" coordinates on the truthpapers HTML source...
on vera-sci's source, there are (not sure it changed from earlier) :
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
xx.xx.2010
06.xx.xx
Wasn't it 02.28.2010 ?
What's coming in June ?
And this that I haven't seen before.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
in the html source for vera-sci login form (no longer a form, by the way), there's this hidden field :
input type="hidden" name="usernum" value="1963619203"
This might just be some kind of Bravenet user identification but I don't even know what Bravenet is

drop location 2/28/2010 In the source code for hacked web page: www.vera-sci.com/index.php
is the following:
<form>
<input>
<div>Enter Password Protected Area</div>
<div>Username: LIAR</div>
<div>Password: LIES</div>
</form>
I think we are looking for a dead drop site on 2/28/2010 at the location from the GPS in the source code.
I think that: value="1963619203" is the the missing values for the GPS coordinates that were in the source code: </34>
and by dividing the string into two parts thus giving 19636 19203 and by replacing the xxxxx's gives two posable locations.
The area covered by the 34.000000°N 118.200000°W to 34.099999°N 118.299999°W is very large so we know 34.0°N 118.2°W cannot be the spot we are looking for but it is somewhere in this large square. The bounds of the square are:
34.000000°N 118.200000°W
4368 District Blvd. / 4555 Everett Ave LA
34.000000°N 118.299999°W
W 48th St / 4720 S Normandie Ave LA
34.099999°N 118.200000°W
Near Ave 49 and Pasadena Freeway in LA
34.099999°N 118.299999°W
Is in the parking lot of the "Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints" 1552 N Normandy Ave, LA.
Thus giving the GPS coordinates of 34.019636°N 118.219203°W which I think is the most likely.
The other is 34.019203°N 118.219636°W, they are very near other.
The drop seems to be the access street to 2844 E. Pico Blvd. LA address with cross streets of S. Soto St. and S. Evergreen Ave. This is in an industrial area of LA.
What I have not figured out is the time of the drop.

Quite sure it's useless, but I tried entering the coordinates into Google Earth's Sky View, here's what I got.

That little blue rectangle is where the coordinates go, a hole with a lot of little stars.
[edit - sorry, the img was huge, changed to link because we have members who don't have great internet access and big images slow the loading of the forum - kona]

This is not an ARG it is a game promo If you go to www.vera-sci.com/contact.php and enter UN: LIAR PW: LIES you will get another login and at that login you type the same UN and PW and it takes you to a new page that says:
=========
To be continued... at E3 2010!
Thank you for your continued attention and interest
John Lee and the story of VeraSci will be back shortly. To get a heads up and receive exclusive information regarding the video game before the launch and to tell us what you think of the story so far just e-mail us at feedbackSPLAT vera-sci.com.
==========
2010 E3 Expo is on June 15-17, 2010 at the LA Convention center and this at 34.043377N lon 118.266510W which is in the square that I talked about in a previous post.
What I think is this sucks. I wanted an ARG and a got a promo with almost no information about the game they are promoting.

Thinking of emailing this as feedback, most likely won't as it is to rantish:
Honestly, this "ending" annoys me to much. You barely give *any* information in it.
Everything summed up:
Vera-sci knows about aliens and is covering it up.
John Lee has revolted against Vera-sci.
David Hunter has grown even crazier in his ambitions.
The Keeper and Watcher are trying to spread the truth and have awful spelling/grammar.
And apparently a crack site can be considered to be "bad press" without even saying anything.
Congratulations ARG Maker, I will never even consider buying whatever game this is advertising. If they messed up promotions this much the game itself has little hope.

I would have liked this to go a little longer, even if it was for a commercial game. It was starting to become interesting. Too bad, the marketing agency must have tought that there was not enough people playing and cut down the budget...

well there are a lot of independent game companies out there that dont have the money of EA, and sony, etc. but can still put out a decent game. not too impressed w/ this though. if they go 1/2 assed on this what did they go 1/2 assed on the game?
