Actually, and I don't know how I know this, but that's something that's been going on since the 90's, making pony-alikes of fictional characters. I remember seeing an Edward Scissorhooves when I was in middle school, which would have been around 2001, and thinking it was ridiculous looking.

I've not given up on Marble Hornets 3D! I'll be putting a select bunch of entries in STUNNING, EYE-POPPING 3D! I already have Entry ###### converted to 3D, and I'll be working on a few other things for that. It takes a bit to properly line everything up, so it probably won't be posted until Friday.

Also, you'll need Green/Purple glasses. Herp.

"Pony-alikes," eh? Since the 90s, eh?

Sometimes I'm happy I miss out on things.

Edit of my Edit: General ass-hole-itude below, I have a chip on my shoulder about 3D conversion and didn't think before being a jerk. Sorry, folks! Embarassed

... Please tell me this isn't real. Confused

Edit: I already had enough reasons to hate 3D, don't make one of them be Marble Hornets 3D...

But, it looks cool. Sad I'm just taking a few select scenes from the series, and converting them, such as the Masky tackle.

If you don't wanna watch it, don't. Confused

Not a fan of 3D, but I think it sounds like a very interesting project, and I'll certainly be watching it. I knew those old 3D glasses would come in handy one day Very Happy

Oh gosh, TOTALLY misread. ^__^'' I thought this was some huge project to convert the whole series or something!

Masky tackle etc. would be kind of badass to see in 3D. Not a huge fan of 3D conversion (as I'm sure you can figure out by my last post Razz) so if this was like a 'let's make every entry 3D!' thing I'd probably cry, haha.

And since I'm feeling like an idiot now anyway, I'll also ask - where would I actually get the glasses you refer to?

Edit: Feeling like a total tool now. Embarassed *snip*

Edit Edit: (This whole multiple-edits thing getting old yet? Just don't want to double-post Razz)

I kinda already apologized to Randoman via PM, but just to clear up so I don't perpetuate this image of being a total douche: I didn't actually read in detail what was written, and assumed that Randoman was posting about someone doing a 3D conversion of the whole series, a la how they made The Last Airbender in 3D or how they're doing Titanic over in 3D, etc. Those 3D conversions look really awful and I didn't see why someone would do the whole series of MH in 3D since a majority of entries wouldn't be that interesting.

That said, I'm a little more clear now on what Randoman was saying - he's doing certain entries that would look kickass in 3D. And that is freakin' awesome, especially since it's in the old red/blue purple/green style of 3D. As in, (Troy, if you happen to read this) this would be an awesome DVD special feature to have a bunch of pivotal MH scenes in 3D. The Masky tackle in particular being quite amazing. Also, the entry near the stone chimneys where Jay runs into Slendy in-person.

tl;dr - I made a dumb assumption and unintentionally insulted Randoman. I feel like a tool for that. Also, 3D Masky Tackle FTW. TROY: PUT ON S2 DVD.

Looked around a bit, and this is the best I could find: http://www.amazon.com/glasses-movies-quality-magenta-Trioscopic/dp/B0031YC0OQ

I have several of my own pairs from Batman: Arkham Asylum GoTY, and the DVD version of Jackass 3. The green/purple design is much, much better than red/blue. I don't know how, but it is. Colors look better, and it's less eye-straining.

I'm not one to jump whole-heartedly on the 3D bandwagon, but your project sounds pretty cool. Would you consider 3D-ifying some TTA videos? That might be trippy...

Thought: Make some of those entries with the red/blue 3D effect that did absolutely nothing ACTUALLY make it appear in 3D! Razz Haha

The only video I have totally completed at the moment is Entry ######, and it looks pretty cool.
I'm not going to do whole entries, I'll just take some of the best moments of them and convert them.

The reason it's hard is because even when applying the lines, it's still a 2D image, and it's hard to realign both frames to give different images to the eye. Even then, the most it ads is depth, or just making the scene come out of the screen. Nothing too cinematic, but interesting nonetheless.

When I invest in some purple/green glasses, I'd love to see it.

Didn't get the full project done in time, but here's the Entry ###### test video.
