Hey guys, for all you 3DS owners in here I have some Marble Hornets Miis made.

I couldn't completely make Slendy's face featureless and I made the terrible discovery of there being no Tim-burns to use... But overall I'm happy with them.

And yeah, the fireworks and pool photos are great. Nice job with those.

I know it's not exactly Marble Hornets-based, but I discovered a Slender Man themed original character tournament over on Deviant Art. Essentially, you create an original character (so no including Jay or Tim or whatever) and then for each round, you draw a comic or write a story about how your character not only escapes Slender Man, but manages to outmanoeuvre an opponent.

There are a bunch of other little requirements, (I think they're going to be a bit silly, but working around them will make for a better challenge!) but that's the gist of it! If there are any creatives lurking around this forum these days who are interested, the link is here. They're taking auditions for characters, and the deadline is September 17th.

Here's my entrant
Splash Page for the audition
Set one of comic pages

I'm going to be trying to get three to four pages done per week up until the deadline... we'll see how far it gets. XD Wish me luck!

Very good drawings, I especially liked those beautiful eyes in the last frame.
Good luck! Although, with your talent, luck will be secondary. Smile

I made a trailer Very Happy It's meant to evoke a creepy-action-movie sort of mood. I'm rather proud of it overall.

WOW

it's not like i've been working on a trailer for the past 4 months using that exact idea with entry 15's audio going over the footage or anything

i'm still doing it, but now it's going to look like i'm copying you

not a bad trailer but it's a little long, i liked the music

my goal is to make a trailer so good that it gets put on the s3 dvd, i'm constantly editing in new stuff to it but it won't be done for a while. gotta really fine tune stuff

The music choice is better than some trailer attempts I've seen but I feel like it would be in much more keeping with the atmosphere of the series to have subtle music or none at all. If you're going for a "creepy action" vibe it fits well enough though. Also, it is rather lengthy for a trailer. But overall I thought it was pretty good.

Crazy. Great minds I guess...? Honestly I'm surprised no one beat me to it. I hadn't seen anyone else's before I made this but I looked around on YouTube while this was rendering. It seemed to me the best way to introduce the basic concept without having to paste in the Introduction or whatever.

Yeah, five minutes is about the limit of how long I'd want to make a trailer, I almost cut it off but the last bits worked so well. I plan to do a "ambient-creepy" one that'll be shorter, I just have to find the right music.

Apparently I have some sort of condition.

This one's a bit shorter and with creepier music. Also, I need to friggin' stop taking all my audio from one entry and mix it up a little. =/

I agree that the first was better, Maybe you should try the audio from Entry #38 next. Also, I think it would look really nice to end with Entry #7 1:05-1:52 as a way of incorporating the student film aspect of Marble Hornets with an Oppy teaser.

I feel like #38 is kinda misleading, since it apparently (I hope, anyway) has nothing to do with anything. 7 is good footage but it doesn't pack enough of a punch to finish with.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you guys like the first one better?

I thought that the voice over of Entry #15 accompanied by the music set a good tone for the trailer and gave it a strong pace and direction.

Can I request a transparent png of slenderman, able to be put into a video? I've scoured the internet and haven't found one yet. I wanna do a Marble Hornets inspired one-shot video, so yeah....

Edit: Never mind, found it and made something anyways. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xstlb9YCaVA&feature=youtu.be

IMO, he's not subtle enough. Stands out waay too much. Something about the lighting, I guess. He's also a tad short.
Otherwise, that's a pretty good effect. You were able to sync the figure with the motion of the camera well.
