 		Ugh, it was just a dumb doodle on top of the first tim picture with a pipe and a beard and a sailor's cap. It was really lame, but no reason for the file to corrupt and not allow me to open and play with it!

I'm probably the only one who wouldn't want to be drawn into Slender-shenanigans -- I mean, I enjoy watching the series and I get a kick out of it all, but unlike all of the slender-blogs popping up, I really have no interest in getting involved in some turmoil that might wind up with me hanging from a tree or with my house on fire.

(Though, lol, the way that I've been involved in this sub-forum, it'd be a pretty bloody amazing (and rule-breaking) start to revealing that I'm not real, am a character or something, etc. and that I need your help. Dayum, I'm good~ XDD)

Maybe it could be like a comic of Masky going to all of the players' homes that drew Marblehornets crack with him in it with a match in his hand.... All files corrupt by morning....

D'oh, I had meant to reply to this earlier, since you mentioned that you'd love a crit. Sorry for the wait, I've been scatterbrained of late.

The thing that strikes me as odd is that you've got some huge leaps in value (aka, from light to dark) that don't mesh too well between the pure black and the half-tone variations. Mostly just over Alex and Jay's eyes, where instead of being a darker shade, they just turn into shapes. You need to keep your shadows transparent -- the highlights can be opaque, but shadows should never be completely pitch black unless the rest of the piece is extremely low key.

Secondly, chopping the characters' bodies off at the neck (and in Jay's case, the wrist) with the texture in behind seems awkward to me. I think that this works best under Sarah because the darker value looks like it could be the shape of a shirt. I think that having some kind of gradient, or darker solid shape blocked in to represent shirts (even if they eventually meld with the background) would make this look more cohesive. Don't chop anything off at a joint for any reason, as people will look and see something inherently 'wrong' even if they aren't sure what that is.

Lastly, I think that if you shrunk Brian's head a touch and bumped it up so that it was roughly the same height as Alex's, the image would look a touch more symmetrical. With that kind of composition it becomes more important to try to make things relatively even. Compensate between left and right so that it's balanced, and all that good stuff!

Anyways, hope that helped and didn't just sound like a wallo'text nag fest. XD

I was trying to go for a kind of comic-book like style, but I can really see what you mean about the shadows. Guess I should stick more to realism. Embarassed

Yeah, I didn't really put much thought into this beforehand, it just kind of happened. It's interesting that you picked up on that. XD I will definitely not do the body-chopping thing again... Next time, more planning shall occur!

D'OOOH, why didn't I notice the non-symmetry??? <headdesk>

If I have time, I'll probably go back into it and take your suggestions to heart.

 		DA is a place for e-peen stroking and nothing else. XD Goons at SA and the kind folks at conceptart.org will set you straight, most of the time, without the glittery 'oooh pretty' that you get from DA. (Not that glittery-ooh-pretties aren't wonderful in and of their own right! XD)

I do hope you do more, though. :D I really like the idea of having a comic-book looking vibe to MH pictures... I think it'd be great to see more along those lines!

So after Slenderman's status updates on Facebook earlier I got some terrible ideas and this appeared in my sketchbook:



The concept of Slendy playing pokemon is funny. I could totally beat him in a battle though. >:O

...This is why my fandoms shouldn't crossover.

Also, have a Masky I doodled a couple days ago. I make him too cute. :<



I had this awesome idea for a TTA fanart (in which he pretty much has to be all shadowy), but I lose my groove with fanart if it's not just quick stupid doodles. I have too many other hardcore projects anyway.
