I used to live in St. Louis, and I can confirm that is indeed a St. Louis area code.

Area code!?!? There is no area code on the Encom map. You might be referring to the phone number from the Arcade Aid site.

After a bit more thinking I decided to go over the entire map with some observations, a ruler, and a map with cities on it.

Here are my findings compared to hughesst's findings.

Flashing:
LA
correct
NYC
correct
Lima, Peru
It looks more like Abancay, or Cuzco
London, England
It looks more like Liverpool
Oslo, Norway?
It looks more like the Alstahaug area
Tokyo, Japan
correct
Darwin, Australia
It looks more like the Newcastle Waters area

Non Flashing:
Vancouver, BC
It looks more like Terrace,BC
Seattle, WA
It looks more like Eugene, OR
Denver, CO
correct
Houston, TX
It looks more like San Antonio
Minneapolis, MN
correct
St. Louis, MO
It looks more like Springfield or Rolla
Washington, DC
correct
Hermosillo, Mexico
correct
San Pedro Sula, Honduras
correct
Barquisimeto, Venezuela
correct
Buenos Aires, Argentina
It looks more like Bage, Rio Grande do Sul
Bahia Blanca, Argentina
correct
Punta Arenas, Chile
It looks more like El Calafate, Argentina
Glasgow, Scotland
It looks more like Ullapool, Scotland
Dublin, Ireland
It looks more like Loughrea, Ireland
Marrakech, Morrocco
correct
Madrid, Spain
correct
Paris, France
It looks more like Nancy, France
Berlin, Germany
It looks more like Liberic, Czech Republic
Bologna, Italy
correct
Joensuu, Finland
correct
Chisinau, Moldova???
It looks more like Bucuresti, Romania

It looks more like Ankara, Turkey
?, Mozambique
Machaila, Mozambique
?, South Africa
Peitermaritzburg, South Africa

Now keep in mind that it is possible that they did mean other locations, and just weren't that accurate when making the map.

Re: Encom International
Can you guys check into this one? may be a OOG!

I was trying to go through the game list on the catalogue. Listing each game in Google and found a strange myspace page. You all may have seen it, but it contains youtube vids that are not visible (including a Daft Punk tune). Can anyone check to see if it any good? Thanks.

Warning: It may be old and/or of no value, but just trying to get new leads, while the badges come in the mail. Smile

Kudos, fellow TRONites!

Anyone seen this image before?

Image Link

I know that the lightcycles went on tour after SD comicon, but I found it interesting that this photo was kinda hidden as the bg image. The most recent edit date for this blog is Jan 29th, 2010.

EDIT:
Nevermind about that image:

I'm having a hard time accepting that MySpace page as "official".

You're right, it can't be real -- the "Matrix Blaster" poster/image towards the bottom of the page is actually the cover art for the Atari 2600 release Super Breakout. Some of the other art looks like covers to 70s era sci-fi paperbacks.

Disney's developed original art for all the Encom games so far; it doesn't make sense for them to use someone else's especially when people are going to notice.

I really hope the one flashing near Mexico is really supposed to be Arizona...or Phoenix for that matter. Would make it SOOOO much easier for me.

I know this seems a bit off track nut does anyone else think the reference to the Big Door on the Infiltrate Encom page relates to the large security door Flynn and the others had to use an ID card to get into the Encom building?

Off Topic...

But would any of you Flash gurus have the ability to turn this:
http://www.encominternational.com/swfs/games.swf
into a .scr file?
I see some freeware stuff on the internet to do it, but mostly they look like guys hiding in horse statues if you know what I mean.

In Texas, it's Austin. something Tron related happened there, and it's bound to happen again.

Yet, there is a building here in Houston that could resemble Encom; the Enron building.

Without decompiling, it looks like a number of bitmap images. Not scalable, not very pretty when scaled. Do you still want the images?

They have a jpeg artifacts look to them when zoomed-in.
But the retro, 8-bit look is kind of a plus, actually.
I wasn't looking for anybody to spend any real time on it and figured a lot of the flash tools allow saving the file as a screensaver.

If not... No big deal.

I went ahead and threw all the images of people on the People page:
http://www.encominternational.com/people.htm
At Tineye and found that like many other images on the site, most came from istockphoto.com. The two exceptions are Alan Bradley (of course, because that ought to be a pic of Bruce Boxleitner as it appears to be), and Kurt Hardington. My suspicion is that Kurt is either a new character that will be in the film or could be an actor specifically hired for this game. It's a face I know I'd be watching out for.
