if im not mistaken that's because that came out just before pin trading became its own franchise with a logo, etc.

in fact

I did.

Odyssey Marine Exploration is a publicly traded company, OMEX on NASDAQ. There are no indications its shares are owned by Disney, in majority or plurality. It did have vessels forced to a Spanish port for inspection two times, but the vessels and their crew were released both times. Those events were in 2007, not last year. There is still a court proceeding concerning the treasures salvaged from the site (under the name "Black Swan"), but nobody is being detained or 'thrown in jail'. Disney partnered with the company to promote their film National Treasure: Book of Secrets with an online 'treasure hunt' with games and puzzles, but does not own the company.

Don't believe every urban legend you hear.

Odyssey Marine Exploration IS a SUB-company of Disney, one of thousands. You need to do deeper digging in legal records to find the connection but it is very deep in there. I know about it as an employee. Also most company employees in any company DO NOT know all of the companies held by any parent company and Do Not know when their own company is held by another.
For example: When Disney bought E! Entertainment,(and broke it up Gorden Gecko style like they do.) they not only got ESPN but a whole slue of other TV and media outlets as well including radio stations, magazines, and questionable video distributions. (See Citadel Broadcasting. A jointly owned and now bankrupt company owned by Disney and silent partner Comcast Cable who only is seen in SEC records) Employees at both the History channel and the Discovery channel do not know that they are owned by Disney. Disney employee discounts do apply to most things in the Discovery franchise but not all. The History channel Does not give disney employee discounts.

Disney has never had a history of hiding anything in assets have they.(yea right)
They did everything to distance them selves for years from "Nightmare before Christmas" then when it went from a cult following to pop culture they said Oh Yea, that was us! The marketing dept. went in to full swing and flooded the market with merch like only Disney can. The legal battle still continues to this day over most Miramax holdings.(Another one Disney tried to distance them selves from for decades) This has been going on for 8 years.

Do some more research and you will also find when Disney came to Florida and started to buy land. They used several false company's and fake individuals names to buy the land to keep the price low so that the locals did not know about the land grab that was going on by the company.

Like it or not these are FACTS. My history lesson is done now and should in the future be conducted in another section by people.

Event though TRON is a Disney film, the ARG IS from 42E (Be sure to thank 42 for their great work!)and and only funded by Disney for promotion.
This section is about SWAG for ARG's, lets continue it this way.
YES I HAVE ARG STUFF TO TRADE!!!

They also own several hundred web servers hosting numerous hardcore, adult-oriented websites. I know: I've seen them.

Bah... Who's counting? Razz

Umm... Considering that the original distributor of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" was the well-known Disney label Touchstone Pictures, if Disney was seriously trying to hide its association with the film it did an amazingly lousy job.

Greystone wrote:

Umm... Disney bought Miramax in 1993, and has never made a secret of it.

The lesson is, and I'm talking to you 42E, don't give people pins from a Disney movie yet aren't official Disney trading pins and then have a couple of weeks downtime in the viral game you're running - because, apparently, players will get bored and wander into heated debates about shady corporate dealings that stem from throwaway comments about the authenticity of those pins.

Rookie mistake.

Ok, to keep this thread going as an actual trade thread (with the other regarding experiences as per its title), I'm still hoping to find someone willing to trade for a "Yes" and a "Neutral" Bit.
FSURobbie and I recently successfully traded an Arcade token for a defaced Joker dollar - tnx again Robbie!

Below is what I've got on the table for trade...
I can provide pictures if needed. I'm mainly looking to complete collections of games I've played, so if I end up with more one of something, there's nothing I'd love more than to pass stuff on to others who want it... in this case though, trading is preferred =)

From Tron:
- 1x Arcade token
From Why So Serious:
- 3x Harvey Dent for Gotham City bumper stickers
- 1x Citizens for Batman bumper sticker
- 2x Take Back Gotham Vote Harvey reusable stickers
- 1x green felt bag
- 1x "I Believe in Harvey Dent" button
- 1x "Harvey Dent for Gotham City" button
- 1x clown makeup kit and vanity mirror
- 1x Joker 1.5x2" freaky face wallet photo
- event release and instructions from one of the live events
Hellboy 2:
- 3x HETFET.org Save the Trolls stickers
- 1x old/burned coded message page (that is its in-game state)
Ingenbio:
- 2x Infex tattoos
- 1x Dr. Kendall ID badge
Lost Zombies:
- loads of zombie Warning stickers, 2 sizes
The Lost Ring:
- loads of truvo tattoos and strength stickers

PM me if interested!

I myself am desperately looking for one of the Why so Serious makeup/kit bags. I'd either be willing to pay for one or I might have some other Dark Knight swag to trade like a Wayne Bond.
If anyone has or knows of someone that has this, please have them drop me an email at ryanbereshSPLAThotmail.com
Thanks for reading.

Haha, yes, thanks. I am hoping that thebruce and I will be able to do an exchange. However, I am currently bit-less, so I am not much help to him.
Sad
