Re: Token Trade Warning

Christien wrote:
Hey guys,
Here is a warning for anybody who is trading tokens.

I made a deal to get some from one of the members here on the forums. But when I got the envelope it was empty. There were some circular impressions on the envelope clearly showing that there were tokens inside. And there was a small 2 inch hole at the bottom. It is obvious that somebody thought there was money inside and stole them.

When I informed the sender, he said it was not the first time that happened.
I don't think it was customs because they make it obvious when they open something, and they would not have kept the contents because it doesn't really have any value.

This is just a warning to anybody who happens to mail out any tokens, you might want to use a padded envelope so it doesn't feel like money and tape them down to a piece of paper so it doesn't sound like money.

And just to be clear, this is in no way a complaint against the sender, it is clearly the fault of some dishonest postal worker.
This is just to inform people of what happened so the same doesn't happen to any of you.

When sending anything like this put it between to pieces of thicker paper or cardboard then tape them up before sending it out. I do this for ebay items.

Willing to trade my 89 pin for PunchOut and Guard Pin (both)

Willing to trade my 89 pin for PunchOut and Guard Pin (both). It doesn't sound too fair, so I don't expect any takers. I also have an extra 89 sticker and coaster, but my extra holofoil is ruined. I am also willing to entertain a trade/cash offer as well, but anything would have to be for both pins, not just 1. Don't ask me about any other pins, posters, or tokens, I gotta keep what I have...

PM me if interested...

Thanks...

I picked up an extra copy of the D23 TRON Legacy edition (without mouse pad) in case anyone isn't able to find one locally. If interested, let me know. STill looking for the lightcycle & Punchout Arcade Aid pins.

Thanks for the cash offer. I'm really looking for a trade that gets me the ArcadeAid pins I don't have, I'm not looking to make money nor try to buy pins outright. I'm really just trying to complete my collection. Thanks so much for your interest...

Guard or Face-Off for 89 or Space Paranoids?

I know I keep repeating every few days in case not everyone is going thru the threads, sorry...

But, I'm still looking for both a Sam 89 and/or Space Paranoids pin(s), I have a Face-Off or Tron Guard, and also Tron Night posters, and Vice Squad and Astro Gunner postcards, for trade.

PM please. Thanks everybody (for having to read this again if nothin' else).

Oh I don't have 4 posters. I had one extra full set of pins and I broke it up to send to someone who is helping me get some items.

I have the three pins but two people are interested.

If I get some extra posters I will let you know.

scratch that.

Ok I just found out someone is sending me an extra tron guard for my extra punch out pin.

So I have one FULL set of pins I will sell for $50 shipped. Seems high, but someone is trading me a set of bits for an identity disc and you guys know I have been dying for one of these since april.

BUT...If I get an extra poster, I will send that absolutely FREE. It is not guaranteed, but I will send it if I get it.

WOAH. Put me down for that extra poster! Mine is all sadface, and if I had another, I would give my crummy one to a friend who wasn't fortunate enough to receive one.

Right now Deadboy has dibs on the pins and (possible) extra poster.

I will keep all informed if I get one more extra.

so far I am in the works of getting the 89 pin I don't have, I am working on the SDCC disc, so the only thing I have missing is the "Flynn's Arcade" shirt and I don't care what size it is, I just need one for the shadow box.

Looking for a light cycle pin.... trade straight up for a face off. Or for the right amount, I'd buy it.....but then I'd need a punch out to complete the set.

Edit: Trade taken care of. Someone will now have a complete set and I'll have a Guard & Light Cycle.

Thanks!
