Stockholm Syndrome: where a hostage begins to empathize with his captors, a la Patty Hearst.
Only this time it's romantic empathy.

I'm glad to hear Audrey's safe and that everyone's friends and all. Aw. Warm fuzzies. Also glad I can fish my EPWA armband out of the trash. Those were some fun times until KIDNAPPING PEOPLE I MEAN CRIMINY FOURTEEN OWES US BEER FOR OUR NERVES.

All's well that ends well, I say. I like beer. Also, I'm glad to hear that the EPWA is alive and well. It seems like "The Action" was only yesterday.

Oh! She's not talking about the postcard, she's talking about a new letter to read in the Repository, from one of the new squadrons.

mo mixes I know! The mixes are so good. It's fun to have more to play with!
I'm even thinking of making another mix as a gift. Because there should be more mixes in this world.

ok so on The Wobblese's mix tape it features the voice of John hodgman listing off numbers associated to odd names. i kinda wondered if this was just made up or if it actually related to something so i plugged in a few of the names and i found this:
http://www.e-hobo.com/hoboes/
what's even more interesting is that a lot of these illustrations are made by Ape Lad, the artist behind Laugh Out Loud Cats and an avid hobo-enthusiest. i actually told him about the games of nonchalance a while back and showed him the cards from the nonchalance site and he was really interested and said he hoped it was still going on by the time he made a trip over to SF. i wonder if he ever did.
edit: upon further investigation it seems the e-hobo site is actually a result of hodgman's book "areas of my expertise" and that the audio track might have come from this originally as opposed to a specific collaboration with the nonchalance team. either way, neat-o! i had no idea he had such an interest. makes him even more awesome.

question: at 13:10 there's a song that plays that i've heard in this game before but i can't put my finger on it. anyone know where it's heard? also i looked it up and it's called Underwaters (One for Keni) by Leila in her album Like Weather.

Remember early on when nonchalance.com had about 30 headshots of various folks, historical, current and from the game world, and clicking on one would pop up a new window describing them and giving them a "nonchalance ratio"? Eva was one and hers was 100%? The song you're talking about was the background music, if I recall correctly.

I am unsure how to proceed...my group/squad
has been unresponsive for the most part in planning, accomplishing making our tape. I have poked and prodded a few times...
I am beginning to wonder if I can just make it and submit it myself..or me and one or two others...since I am only hearing back from 2 others every now and then...
or maybe, ask to be a stand-in for another group who goes??
any suggestions??
