Has anyone else noticed the car clicking and the lights going on and off?

On the Enchanted Forest page there's a dead link (or at least for me):
www.creativequill.us --> Mavis Tofte's books about Enchanted Forest
Maybe it's nothing but I hoped for a connection to the picture of the Coffin Books store...
March 18 could be the date the ARG will move to the next stage...
Is there anything special about the video beside he is not burning himself?

I've done a bit of research concentrating on Facebook.
I've searched for the two characters (Jacob and Ophelia), and found 3 of each that looked promising. I've sent messages to each asking about 'Thirteen Days to Midnight', but so far no response.
I've also followed the Enchanted Forest angle, and had a look at the website. It looks odd, plus the 18 Mar tie in. I didn't think it was a real place, but examined the Google StreetView version. I doubt the organisers have been *that* good at faking stuff, as there's a real park there. I've downloaded the PDF maps of the park, and looked at various links.
I have to admit I'm a bit stumped. has this game stalled?

Comming from the local area, I can verify that Enchanted Forest is a real location. Not sure entirely of how it is involved yet, but it is a real park that I have been going to since I was a kid.

Maybe we can pinpoint the high school Carman mentioned on his website.
Quote:
- Everything about www.13dtm.com is important to the story: the setting of the scene, each of the hidden items, even the falling rain.
- Thirteen Days is my take on the superhero story. It's much closer to Unbreakable then Spiderman – dark and dangerous.
- The relationship between Jacob Fielding and Ophelia (Oh) James is at the center of the story – what brings them together also threatens to destroy them both.
- The main setting is Salem, Oregon, where I grew up. The Oregon Coast also comes into play.
- The small high school in the story is based on the school I went to.
from www.patrickcarman.com
At least we can contain the area of importance for the ARG a bit...
Additionally we have the car, the forest the car stands in and the 13 songs for the 13 upcoming days.
About March 18 (on Carman's twitter):
Quote:
www.13dtm.com - please spread the word, the countdown to midnight starts in one month. 7:08 PM Mar 10th via web
It's a start.
edit: The Enchanted Forest theme park seems to be open from March 18 to 29 (12 days). Kind of strange to be opened for this limited time before it will close it's gates again in April besides the weekends.
A live hunt?
The park map shows a "Rabbit Hole" at the western end of the park, inside Storybook Lane...hmmm...interesting...

So has it always had the 'unusual' opening time in March of 18-29 March?

Early reviews are in for the book, which contains some plot spoilers - might be handy:

Also, notes section on Facebook site has been updated (on Fri 19) with reviews.

His Wikipedia entry is odd about this; the text seems to be missing, but the history of the article doesn't show anything recent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Carman
Looking further on Wikipedia for schools in Salem, Oregon, lists the following:
Corban College, Chemeketa Community College, Chemewa Indian School, Oregon School for the Blind, Oregon School for the Deaf
I've tried searching Corban and Chemeketa for Patrick Carmen, but no luck. I might contact them and the others soon to see if he used to go there.

Okay, got something more on the school track:
Based on the knowledge that we are in search of a high school in or arround Salem (which is named by Carman as the main setting here ) I found my way to the City of Salem Website and deeper to the so called Salem-Keizer School Disctrict.
There are a total of six high schools:
Early College (only four years old)
McKay (could ask for the year books ^^)
McNary (Keizer school, 1965)
North (founded 1890)
Roberts (?)
South (?)
Sprague (one of the bigger schools)
West (?)
Reading through all of their websites, but I found no clue so far...

Don't know if it helps but there's some stuff i've noticed. When you zoom in while looking at the dashboard of the car, it says "Information Center" above the steering wheel. Also the odometer reads 50932, or 60932.
Also on Carman's site he mentions 5 things of importance, one of them is that the H.S. he went to is the one the high school in the book is based on, don't know how that fits in, but there can only be so many H.S.'s in salem that are as old as he is and before?
Also in the last paragraph of the note, he says "i may have killed a guy, maybe two..." the numbers he's throwing out turn into 123 1 234 1. don't know how this fits, but wondering if has anything to do with the circled numbers on the cd?
Actually it's 231 2341

numbers the start of the sequence? When he said "I think I killed a guy, maybe two..." I took that first "guy" mentioned to be 1, and then 2 after it. New to this, but thought perhaps he was throwing numbers out in a weird way. Who knows if this even applies.

April 12 New date to watch out for, from Facebook site: "Some early teen reviewers are pretty excited about Thirteen Days to Midnight. Read their reviews in the notes and mark your calendars for April 12!". Also that's the date attached to his book on his website: http://www.patrickcarman.com/
