By the way, the one starting with "2" is the only prime number within each group of 10. But Masterminding also works!

Have fun!

Yep, confirmed. No other numbers in each sequence are prime.

In case it matters, going along with the Lightcycle images, the background on the puzzle site is here:

ETA - looks to match up best with qm6k3pshu8rr302kv6xej8p72s.png

I gather that most of you were hashing things out in the chat room...so some of your conversations were not recorded in the forum per say...

Did any of you determine what the characters meant on the actual buttons themselves? was that part of the clue to figure things out...

or is that still a possible clue waiting to be solved...like a cipher for the color bar image?

pink = 0
green = 2
blue = 3
purple = rpg

I didn't know what the nomenclature was, and it didn't seem to apply to the puzzles.
But now that you point it out, maybe this a 2-in-1?

ok...sounds like a yes...maybe another possible clue...

thinking about what we've been posting in the lightcycle thread...wonder if RGB channel has anything to do with it...

The "RPG" almost could be "RBG" with pixels missing from the B to look like a P...but maybe I'm just forcing it....as in RGB channels...

Here is color channel info (just in case it means anything) -using color picker from photoshop

Pink (Magenta) RGB (255,0,240) CYMK (0,0,95,0)
Green RGB (19,202,0) CYMK (93,0,100,0)
Blue RGB (0,143,255) CYMK (89,20,0,0)

also thought about ROYGBIV =1,2,3,4,5,6,7...but that didn't pan out.

plus possible 3bit sequence for RGB channels
000=0
001=1
010=2
011=3
100=4
101=5
110=6
111=7

scratching my head again...you other people are better with math and binary than me...

pink = 0
green = 2

The text in the buttons is the first value/item in the sequence.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

0 (pink) - Fibonacci sequence
2 (green) - prime numbers
3 (blue) - Conway's Sequence
RPG (purple) - Levels in the original TRON arcade machine

top - 8 days uptime?

Looks like they've done their homework. We don't see anything suspicious or clue-worthy there, though. The other numbers were just a countdown . Correction, count UP. Probably since Flynn disappeared.

I noticed he is running top in the background window of that picture. I also noticed that the uptime for the server is only 8 days. All active programs are being run as root. I at least recognize Xorg. There's 2GB of ram on that too, which would be astronomical if it was 20 years old.

Btw, I'm ready to buy a Microsoft Surface and install Linux on it. And then add an MXP style interface. (the Encom OS)

I'm just waiting to install a molecular laser in my office.

And, yeah, although the Linux screens are technically correct, the numbers are all wrong. I'm tempted to add that as a "goof" on the IMDB page. Razz

Someone on IMDB mentioned that potentially there could be some new Derez page codes in the trailer? Anyone noticed anything weird flash or spotted while watching this bad boy? Question

Movielord- check the trailer thread for the stuff we've found thus far and the analyses we've done. Hope you can add to thepicture to help sort out the mess.

I've been meaning for a few years now to buy two of those touchscreen all-in-one computers, then install them in a dillenger-like desk. One of them can act as the keybaord, the other as a manipulatable display.
