Just a quick theory on Masky...
Apolagies if this has already be thought of.

Just a little theory that me and my friends came up with regarding masky (no its not another "Z0mG m4sKey iz Alxe!" sort of thing... well, it is, but read on anyway because its more complicated than that.)

We have so far seen Masky in the entries 3 time, entry 18, 19 and 23. In each one, he displays a different kind of personality. In entry 18, he attacks Jay out of nowhere - agression. In entry 19 he breaks into Jays house and watches him sleep, even "tucking him in" at one point (go watch that entry again, he tucks him in...) - Care/compassion. And in the most recent one, he is visable for a few seconds before ducking out and escaping.

Heres my theory:

Alex started to show agression, Brian was always more-or-less friendly and Tim always seems to be going away or wanting to be somewhere else. My theory is that masky is not one person, but 3 - Alex in entry 18, Brian in entry 19 and Tim in entry 23.

Also, in the Warning video, Masky appears twice, obscured by static, however, his hair and facial strcuture look ever so slightly different in each one (its hard to tell, but I think in one frame he has sideburns, and in another he doesn't)

Just my little theory. Again, apolagies if this is a cOLD idea.

Also, Hi, I'm new to these forums. :3

Also apologies if I am replying to a trout and thus encouraging it, but I really like this idea. Gives everyone a part if you agree TTA could be Seth. I never really thought of the way he acted in those videos as being different until you pointed it out. Also, its been argued that Masky in 18 was rushing at jay to save him from masky, so I discounted any aggression till I knew what was up. (Also, masky was sneaking up on jay to make his reply vid, not so aggressive.)

I'm not sure about brian being more or less friendly though, I cant recall him being in more than 2 videos, and I couldn't really gauge how he was. He didn't act angry though when in 7, Alex wanted to book it after seeing slendy. Was there a better example of him being kindly? Though, lending his house all the time could count XD.

I like this very much. ;D

It's been discussed that Masky could be several different people, but I don't think that anyone has tried to figure out which episode contains which person.

Not sure that I could agree that Brian is the motherly sort. XD I would laugh if that wound up being the case!

And he tucks him in?! O_o I don't see that!

But the tucking in makes masky even more adorable than he already is. So I hope its true.
I want a masky plushie.

someone was throwing around the idea that masky is actually trying to help Jay and that the face paint in Return was his way of helping Jay survive such a close encounter with SM (and that, in turn, the mask itself is something to be used to protect yourself from SM in some way)

if we take the theory that masky is trying to protect Jay from SM then the 'aggression' could be seen as 'what are you doing here? it's not safe. get out!'. it also explains why he wouldn't want the mask taken off. the compassion would be obvious with this theory where masky is watching over Jay. The last encounter could be trying to help jay (giving him the mask on the door), but also running away because he might be afraid that SM will be angry at him for helping Jay.

In that case, why would Masky have sat so still watching Jay to begin with and THEN begun his charge? He wanted Jay to get a good look at him first. That seems like it was an action that was provoking fear to me.

Maybe he's got some serious issues with what he wants to be doing. Scaring, helping...?

It could always be a 'I'm trying to scare you for your own good' deal, I suppose.

the pause could be masky actually getting a good look at who was in the house before doing whatever (it takes a sec for your eyes to adjust to the light when someone shines a flashlight on you). or, yeah, scare him away for his own good.

Keeping in mind that someone was filming Jay the first time he visited the house, too. Could have been Masky. Why not attack him then?

I always read the attack as "I know you took my pills, I want them back!" An act of desperation, not necessarily aggression. I mean, bad coping skills, but hey.

I read Masky as a... well, ambiguous on the side of positive character. That would explain the face paint during the abduction seeming to keep Slendy away. If he was doing that, filming it and showing it off to Jay to say "see, this is what you do so that he doesn't see you", that would make sense.

has anyone mentioned that the mask looks very childish? big eyes, raised eyebrows, small lips. a fairly innocent expression i think... isn't the mythological Slenderman supposed to abduct children? Though no one knows why. some say to protect them...

I do not see the "Tuck In" part, however while Masky is perched on the dresser, Jay is partly uncovered. When Masky is crouched next to the bed, Jay is covered again. While Jay MAY have covered himself up, it is possible Masky may have as well.

A random thought that has probably been addressed... but please trout me if so!

During Return, the hall light seems to be on in the house.

Whenever Jay visits, the lights seem to not work. o_o What's that business about?!

I've always thought that Tim=TTA=Masky, and that the filmmakers have been trying to get that across slowly over the course of several videos. For instance, Entry #20 was supposed to imply that Tim was Masky (because of the jacket), and then Warning was supposed to show that TTA was Masky, finally connecting the dots.
