Alright. I called a bit ago. Left my first name, FL name, and phone number. I made sure to notify Zack of my close proximity to St. Louis and told him I wanted to come check out what he has because I'm working on an arcade cabinet (not too far from the truth). I also remembered to press 2. Laughing

We'll see what happens.

Okay, call the number. Here it is for you again. 314.925.2642.

If you push 799, it tells you about theibbc.com

If you push 798, it tells you about Lex Luthor

If you push 797, it hangs up

If you push 796, it tells you about the resistance.

If you push 795, it tells you about stoptheinternational.com

If you push 794, it tells you about clawshunindustries.com

If you push 793, it offers you a war job.

I know the plot of the new Tron! The IBBC must have funded Encom, and then Superman came in and led an army against Encom, but it only made them stronger and then they took over everything and a resistance pops up.

Right?

Right.

Only problem with that theory is that WB owns DC comics while Disney owns Marvel comics. And never shall the two juggernauts meet!

Pssst!

42 Entertainment ran those other games. Remember The Dark Night?
Wink

(They are using the same phone board system for all of them.)

ETA: And then there's this too:

All the prompts he got were for past ARG's that 42E has put on.

799.) Stop the International, the ARG for the film The International
798.) Clawshun Industries, the ARG for the opening of the Superman roller coaster ride at Six Flags (yes, seriously)
796.) Skynet Research, the ARG for the film Terminator: Salvation
795.) See 799
794.) See 798
793.) Project Abraham, the ARG for the video game Resistance 2: The Fall of Man (I didn't realize 42E was responsible for this one, I'm a little embarrassed by that)

Probably should have specified that never the two shall meet cinematically. (At least anytime for the foreseeable future.)

The comics themselves are a whole different matter (one I'm well aware of being a comic-book whore for 35 years Wink ) although they would make for some interesting movies. Remember the original 'Spider-Man versus Superman' comics with the Hulk bashing at Supes chest like two atomic sledge-hammers! Would be awesome on the big screen!

But they do battle it out on the computer screen with hilariously funny results. If you've never seen these videos then you're missing out. http://www.youtube.com/user/ItsJustSomeRandomGuy

Now it's entirely possible Norman Osborn could be responsible for an attack on Encom... ~maniacal goblin laughter!~ Rolling Eyes

See, that's all it is! We should go to those websites! I found lots of puzzles and fun stuff in there!

I'm just kidding everybody. And I'm let down! INJAG, right? I got so freaking EXCITED when I heard that husky British voice. Then I tried 798, and it started talking about Lex "Not in Tron" Luthor. Then it dawned on me that my phreaking skillz was just too leet for 42e.

I sent them an email telling them about the hole.

Hey, 42e! I'm looking for a job! I'll seal your company up real tight.

42E has enough budget and revenue that they can probably run the voicemails through their own hardware and not through a service.

If you look deep enough, the curtain between the game and reality always gets blurred. I wouldn't put too much thought in it. I wouldn't call it a "hole"... it's just something they really need not concern themselves with, and it's a business decision to save some money and use a shared resource such as a personal voicemail system.

Agreed. I'd much rather they use their resources to enhance the experience of the game. It's like seeing a movie set and seeing it as a collection of props and background art instead of allowing the little kid in you see the bridge of a space ship or an alien planet.

Mind you, this is simply my take on it. I seem to be a 31 year old kid still amazed by 3-D movies. Razz

Button mashing

Hi everyone!

This is the first time I've actively tried out an ARG. My best friend is a total Tron freak and got me into Flynn Lives. Good times!

Anyway, we were messing around with the Arcade Aid phone number the other night. While pressing 2 after entering a voicemail supposedly sends it, after reading this thread I started playing around with it a bit. If you press 4 after leaving a voicemail, it gives you the options of hearing your voicemail, rerecording it, sending it or gives you "more sending options". If you pick 4 again, for more sending options, you can choose private, confidential or private and confidential. I sent a voicemail identifying myself from Flynn Lives, and also inquired about Tron side art, sending the message private and confidential.

I'm curious what the rest of you have done recently when it comes to this enigmatic phone number on the Arcade Aid website.

A friend of mine left a message with this song playing really loud and started yelling about his Trogdor machine being broken in a thick german accent. I hope someone actually checks that cause it was hillarious

Hey, I liked that one!

I even got a little piece of swag out of it!

I mean, two of my favorite things: roller coasters and ARGs combined into one?! Yes please!
