I've been having fun the last few months where every time I get near a steamed window, I scrawl FLYNN LIVES into it.

I work in an IT Dept. When all my co-workers found out about Flynn Lives there was a hardcore group geek-out. They have all been playing along since and proudly pimp their badges around the office.

Awesome Idea, now does anyone want to earn it by helping me? Wink

Well I could use a couple badges to complete the set...

Gridlock Rendezvous
and whatever the San Francisco badge is..... I think I got the rest of them

How do you go about helping another person to get the badge anyway?

wwwmwww, could you please be a bit clearer with your post and notethat this isn't a real badge, but one you've made yourself? It's a neat idea (and for the record, I did trade codes with mach1monorail) but it had me worried for a moment! Razz

Cool idea indeed! Though I am with Lex, I started to frantically think about what I needed to do to get my "Tank Pilot" badge, until I read a bit further. I think I am addicted. Very Happy

If you give someone a still valid code that can be used here:
http://www.flynnlives.com/zerohoursubmit.aspx
to get the Gridlock Rendezvous badge that qualifies.

If you give someone a still valid code that can be used here:
http://www.flynnlives.com/users/redeemcode.aspx
to get the Operation Tron badge that qualifies.

I assume you have the Screen Sceen badge. How exactly did you get that badge? Did that require you to enter a code anyplace? If so where?

I call it the first fan made badge just one click away so I'm not really trying to hide anything. And as for it being "real"... it's as real as you want to make it. Several members over at tron-sector have been making ourselves signature images to show off our badges. Here is mine:

The only person that can actually see what badges you have at flynnlives is yourself as you must log in to see them so there really isn't anything to stop someone from saying he has all of them.

I just thought I'd be a bit creative and offer a new badge that I believe is in the spirit of the ARG and be a bit more fun then buying a piece of paper off eBay. If anyone at 42entertainment reads these forums and wants to make this an official badge, please feel free. I'd be very honored.

Per the rules I've posted, could you ask mach1monorail to thank you in the thread at tron-sector? If needed, I could expand that to thank you posts in this thread as well. I was just trying to keep one "official" thread going with the names of those that actually have earned the badge. You could be the first… You could also post thanking mach1monorail and give the first badge to him. Wink

Ok... I appear to be out voted so I've now added the words "fan made" to my post. However your reaction is more or less exactly what I was after. Well right up to the "until I read a bit further" part. I would hope you'd still want the badge. This is my first ARG and I'm now an addict myself. Very Happy

Screen Scene was specifically gotten when you registered for a ticket to one of the IMAX screenings, at www.pitcell.com - no code, just had to get there in time.

Thanks for the info. I assume someone at 42entertainment could made some codes that would allow you to get that badge through the redeemcode link or something similiar if they wanted. I don't really expect that to happen but its a thought.

It just seems unfair. Not everyone can physically attended these events for a number of reasons. So they should record them and let us virtually attend them by watching the video afterwards. Note they more or less do that now... they should just stick a code that we can use to get the badge at the end of the video.

Or if they like my helping idea... they should give everyone that already has the badge 3 codes that they can give away to others to allow them to get the badge as well. They in turn could get 3 codes to give away and soon everyone that wanted the badge could have it. And those that had someone use one of their give away codes could earn my Tank Pilot badge.

Hmmm... I really do wonder if anyone at 42entertainment is reading this...

Carl

Don't get me wrong, I love your badge and pic. I am just a bit of a completionist when it comes to these things and am hoping that those of us who collect many (or all) of the "official" badges will benefit from our efforts in some way further down the line as the ARG advances. Keep up the good work and your enthusiasm!

Another thing about such unofficial badges - they won't show up on your Flynn Lives profile and FL would of course have no way to verify who really did what was required, so it's extremely unlikely they'll adopt it.

as I live in France, I would never have had these three Badges.

  1. Gridlock Rendezvous
  2. Screen Sceen
  3. Operation Tron badge

There's nothing that happens in France. =(

When is an operation in France or Europe?
