I'm pretty sure the use of graphic signatures are frowned upon at unfiction, but for those of you who wish to use them elsewhere; I made a few. I have these hosted through my dropbox. Not really sure if there is a hosting limit, so just in case please download these if you intend to use them, and don't hotlink.

Made this one from a mixture of images from the Helloflynn site and the Encominternational site.

This one is a mashup of screenshots from the trailers and a promotional poster.

Here we have a slightly modified photograph of the Tron themed monorail at disney. The doors made for some interesting contour lines in the sig.

Who can recognize a slightly modified view of a recognizers left leg? The slogan was borrowed from a Tron motivational poster by Steve Thomas.

And of course a straight crop from the trailer.

A little off topic, but I'm wondering who it was that made the Encom logo magnets for the Wondercon event. I've got a project I want to do and need some info. These wouldn't need to be big enough to go on a car, but I don't want to have to use the small magnetic strips. Also, how do you cut them out? Sorry, I have a lot of questions. I hope I'm making sense. Thanks for indulging my curiosity.

I made the graphics and SocalSteve printed them up for his sweet ride. I think Steve cut the magnets down by hand, but I could be wrong.

My fiance is considering making pins based on Tron designs like Lightcycles (classic ones) and Identity Discs. Does anyone have any ideas of things they'd like to see made? Is anyone interested in ordering any pins? PM me and let me know we can definitely talk

Please remember to be careful how you create and distribute your DIY creations. Using Disney IP in creating something you plan to distribute is risky.

As for those sig images, they are bigger than what is generally accepted on this forum. The type here should be smaller and less distracting, like small buttons or a userbar. If you are not familiar with userbars, they are small graphics meant for such uses, normally 350x20 pixels. Animated images in your sig are generally not welcome around here either.

What recommendations do you have to avoid any issues?

I'm thinking the only concern will be trying to make money of this. That's when you need a license. Otherwise, it's fan-art/fan-fiction, and I don't think there's a need to worry. Worst you'll get is a cease and desist letter if you're crossing the line, unless you ignore it.

If you are going to use Disney IP in your fan creation, and you want to distribute it, you're safest simply giving it away. If you don't use actual content from Disney's IP, just a relevant and motif accurate design, you're probably safe.

Go right ahead. Just keep in mind Euchre's statement on their use on these forums.

Maybe I'll try and remake a few that are a bit simpler and more acceptable for use on these forums.

If (Big "IF"), You were willing to risk the wrath of the mouse, Some suggestions I have are... (Most of these are specific to the original film)

  • Bit (I'm partial to "No", myself)
  • An angry (spinning top) MCP (Or the wireframe version)
  • A Solar Sailer (Maybe the Intellivoice version)
  • Tank
  • The mobile servers (Sark's REZ Carrier or the FCon Cruiser)
  • The center of Sark's "Pac Man" radar/game board map also seen on the SDCC/Wondercon posters, the Tron game cab and, partially, in Greystone's avatar
  • The Encom logo, old or new
