I didn't make this connection earlier. The address of the blogspot, 'horrendusos,' is really two words 'horrendus os' which means 'horrible mouth' in Latin.

ETA - I just noticed that all of the RGB values are multiples of 51: 0, 51, 102, 153, 204, 255. Not sure what we get if we look at these as 0 to 5.

Okay, here's what I'm thinking. Take all the letters that comprise this, group them according to the color of the letter. Is is possible this is an anagram puzzle?

Also, the 1-5 theory posted above might also come into play. Maybe it's five different phrases, or maybe it's four trouts and one real lead. I'll get to work transcribing in case anything is there...

EDIT: There are a lot of colors here, and unfortunately although I have the majority sorted, I have work to attend. I will finish up tomorrow morning and post the results, which will be a chart of letters sorted by color reference #'s. I've already found one little message, "i feed," by rearranging the letters in color 255,153,102, so i feel like we're on the right track. Like I said, I'll finish up in the morning, hopefully have results posted by noon.

Edit2: Here's the colors I've done, if anyone wants to pick up where I left off.

255,0,0
204,102,0
255,153,0
153,255,153
204,0,0
102,102,0
0,153,0
102,51,102
255,153,102
255,153,255
255,204,102

Perhaps it would be pertinent to point out that 0, 51, 102, 153, 204, 255 are the only values that can be used to comprise non-dithering colors...

There are 47 colors total in the post. In order (0-46) without accounting for multiple letters in any color:

0 25 0 20 24 28 15 19 5 2 0 32 0 30 25 45 34 32 24 2 37 0 26 25 21 43 0 36 25 37 17 33 0 46 0 43 2 9 29 25 30 37 38 16 17 27 20 0 40 45 24 40 25 0 17 7 28 21 25 4 14 12 9 4 43 26 30 29 13 5 25 20 24 6 0 21 22 37 29 5 23 2 0 27 0 25 21 43 9 28 2 25 45 19 40 24 19 0 15 12 0 43 32 0 25 27 43 0 17 16 17 40 24 31 36 21 25 0 26 40 35 26 0 25 45 11 18 1 37 28 0 25 24 20 27 25 27 41 26 0 14 35 32 20 1 42 37 25 27 31 25 17 28 45 11 24 7 0 37 37 24 24 0 25 37 18 30 1 36 0 29 4 18 0 7 2 37 17 40 43 0 26 17 25 0 25 43 24 26 25 40 0 43 24 0 29 17 19 0 40 44 24 0 43 25 37 28 4 18 21 27 2 0 25 24 26 35 0 31 21 0 26 17 43 6 30 31 30 31 9 26 0 40 9 20 9 0 6 2 0 28 20 25 14 13 0 9 39 40 25 0 43 25 0 28 17 0 14 18 24 26 40 30 37 25 43 28 0 24 40 0 14 17 28 25 20 0 6 24 7 26 0 24 40 14 2 25 6 35 0 40 28 0 1 27 17 37 30 0 45 0 25 0 45 40 30 28 26 17 20 2 17 40 0 17 25 0 25 17 46 25 0 43 17 37 37 28 0 43 25 18 24 40 27 0 12 6 43 42 0 43 17 0 16 25 0 9 25 2 14 2 36 37 0 27 10 0 25 24 25 37 17 0 6 42 0 43 30 0 26 11 17 17 6 11 6 0 25 43 27 0 12 4 0 43 25 14 28 37 0 42 25 37 23 30 30 19 43 28 24 0 25 43 17 0 28 28 0 42 0 16 43 17 0 18 17 1 25 0 27 17 25 14 40 2 30 0 28 31 17 28 13 15 0 34 20 42 3 14 36 6 9 18 0 20 21 23 7 11 30 0 25 2 0 8 16 0 45

I went through and wrote out the letters individually based on color.

I only found anything that could be useful in the red and blue letters, which makes sense based on our guys previous use of those colors.

First, in only the true blue (100,93,238) letters is D,M,7,J,N,10 as well as the "1" header and the dash between "to attack by knife and nail" and "Through the dissension" which adds a few characters to mycrofts "dm1"
suggestion from earlier. I'll keep trying to put them together and figure out if they mean anything, but I'm really bad at the technical side of things, so I could use some help.

I tried the red letters, but couldn't figure them to mean anything.

This is them, if you want to try and find something: M,A,Y,T,A,E,E,T,O,N,D,H,H,H,T,T,E,N,O,Z,S,U,S,D,E,V,H,E,E,N,L,L,H,L

However, the red words could be a riddle?

Betrayal, Attack, Hate, Rabbit, Say, Mouth, Lips...

I'm thinking something along the lines of another warning, or maybe a reference to the first warning. "say, mouth, lips" Meaning it needs to be told and "betrayal, attack, hate" could be the event we need to find out about to sound this warning.

And, "rabbit" just freaks me out, because its what Lisa chose to name the DCR file simply for file-sorting purposes.

Also, we have a new name "Rich S."

there are a few things with the blogpage that appear deliberately odd - although i don't have any answers yet.

if you highlight the text, as if you were going to cut and paste, a number of letters and words stand out - they change colour but are not blocked in. i don't understand the code well enough to see how this is done but i'm assuming it is deliberate? the same with the word 'shed' being in bold type - it's the only word on the whole page that has been made bold and i am thinking this is a key or hint to solve the puzzle.

i printed off and underlined the letters which do not get blocked in on highlighting and it does create a morse code effect almost to look at. out of time now, but will look see if there's any pattern or words to be made up converting single letters to dots and longer strings of characters to dashes. (is this a clue in the title of the page as well? the solitary '.' means something i guess).

anyway a few more things to try later,

anyone else with ideas or random musings, let's talk through our observations and see if it sparks off some more possibilities,

mycroft

I have been thinking...

"0,1,2" might be completely separate puzzles. Additionally, each puzzle could be the "key" to unraveling one of the others. "shed" is the *only* thing is bolded and refers to a "snake" shedding.

0 1 and 2 might also be reffering to the three separate characters we have been introduced to.

0 being "the thing that was released"
1 being Lucky Lonely
2 being manymanyforms.

Additionally... Lucky may be the thing that was released from the flash drive. (IE Keys, shooting starts once called home....)

I haven't checked to see exactly when, but the title of the blogspot post now reads "WE R ALL TRAPPED"

ETA - also just noticed that the only person allowed to read the blog is manymanymanyformsSPLATgmail.com.

Also, attaching the palette of colors blogspot gives you to choose from for text in the online editor. 70 colors, including (192,192,192) which is not in the web-safe palette but is used in the text for the post.

Okay, so earlier, he mentioned that snakes couldn't see the color blue.

Mycroft emailed him, he responded by saying, among other things "Don't ask a snake, he couldn't tell you."

Therefore I would surmise that the blue letters are what we're looking at this time....except all I get from that is D1, which could maybe mean "done"

I started this post thinking maybe I had found something, and I now post it for posterity, so nobody else trouts down this road. I'm thinking when he said "Don't ask a snake," he was instructing us to disregard that particular clue....

Another thing to take into consideration is that we are able to actually edit the page... WE R ALL TRAPPED may either be in game or someone messing with us without messing with the clue itself.

i have spent a few hours today creating a spreadsheet to chart the letters on the blogpage by RGB code number. having finally typed in the last few letters, i am now working through different sifts and ways to mine the data. i am starting with anything that has an obvious link to what we have received from MMMF so far, or with things which are 'exceptional' in format.

first up was the letters under RGB 192,192,192 (as Mr Toasty says - this is RGB does not sit within the non-dithering 216 with the other colours used).

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
this gives us O,R,C,T,E,G,I - which is an anagram of Cogiter, the Latin for 'to think'. we do know that MMMF loves his latin phrases. of course this could be a coinkydink and even if it is a find, i'm not sure yet what to do with it...

will post more if/as a find stuff. does anyone want me attach the excel file - or have you all done the same kind of thing already?

mycroft

additional...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the first three capital letters of the first poem spell M-A-W - which links with the terrible mouth theme. i'd also thought before when looking at the craigslist ad that MMMF uses M4W (man for woman) to possibly stand for MAW. maybe this is part of the next site/login/pass?

Go ahead and post whatcha got with the excel file. I've got all my transcriptions written down in a notebook...man, this is proving to be a tough nut to crack.

ok, i have attached the excel file showing each letter by its code. the fields which are coloured in show the letters and words from the second and third 'poems'.

another thought overnight - possibly some conection to 'minotaur'. this links to Icarus on the drive, is an unnamed fear, a terrible mouth, and destroyer. it goes with the first line of the first poem - 'man and beast'. it also has a relation to something MMMF said to me in one of his emails - that the thing that was trapped within the drive was probably blind, confused and imprisoned - which are classical ideas linked to the minotaur (x ref picasso's blind minatour pic etc.). so maybe another keyword for us to throw in the mix with the others so far.

this theme also kind of links with the other idea of MMMF as a tempter, or devil, luring LL with the knowledge found hanging in a tree. the devil, icarus and eve all come to 'fall' because of their pride or arrogance. all early thoughts given we don't know what we are looking for and any clues as to theme/story might help us pick up on words we can find within the blog.
