Let's hope so, Kane.

Still waiting for our badges here in N. Seattle...
but after doing some reading.. it seems like it's going to be at WonderCon...

Or did I get my dates and times wrong?

Hello,

I would expect we're in store for a few more 'cryptic information transmissions' from Flynn that will paint a more closer picture to where the actual conference for Encom will take place. Man, would be SO AWESOME if actor Bruce Boxleitner, helmed the conference as Alan Bradley, and discusses the current economically fruitful state of Encom and there's an unexpected disturbance, via by internet/television, of Flynn appears as an apparition and gives some slight extended details about Legacy. At least, that's what I would like to see happen....

* To DarkJaguar * Wow, what a nice candor, so sorry that I can't hock myself up on Red Bull, devoid myself of a life outside of my laptop and become an 'Tron Legacy Viral Addict', sorry, just don't appreciate the 'negative fonted' response since I'm new to this forum. But hey, however you are is however you are..no hard feelings.

if you've been paying attention, you would already know where the conference is.

If anything, this game might be more about filling the gap of the past 20 years...

Er, nobody knows for sure where the conference is, so I'm calling BS on this one.

Welcome to uF! Nice to have you aboard! If Boxleitner showed up that would be huge. HUGE. Sigh. A guy can dream...

REALLY!? wow... ok...

From the intranet (this is c&p'd from tron.wikibruce.com for expediency):
"Run High for Upcoming Announcement
The Encom press conference will take place less than three weeks from now, and our west coast affiliates are brimming with anticipation. Hotels are already filling up due to the hectic schedule of that weekend, so plan accordingly. Travelers are urged to finalize their schedules, submit them in writing to the appropriate coordinator and cc your itinerary to your supervisor."

1) If it's a "little less than 3 weeks" from the day the site was discovered (3/17/10)... That would make it the weekend of April 3rd & 4th.

2) "...And our west coast affiliates..." this seems rather pertinent, don'cha think?

NOW... taking these two details, and running a search on google, we find that there are only TWO cons THAT weekend that match that criteria...
The first one I found is SakuraCon in Seattle... But, alas, it will not be SakuraCon.. as that's an anime convention.
The second find was WonderCon in San Francisco. A SDCC affiliate.

So, is that sufficient enough evidence for you? Or is it still BS?

Admittedly, we are all taking very well-educated guesses, but until we actually see the conference it could be anyone's guess.

For all we know, they may make up a convention or a press conference entirely separate from the convention.

Exactly. Heck there's a convention in a few weeks here in Denver. They could have it here since it is in the Tech Center but I know that's a pipe dream. Until it's announced, no one knows.

Agreed. Let's not assume anything. We know nothing at the moment. We just think we know something.

You left out:

3) A shot of the San Francisco skyline that accompanies the note about the conference on the Encom International intranet.
