Goldman and Dawn have an email address though I've no idea what to say to them!

I signed up for "email updates" for the secrethiddenbook too. Can't help putting my ARG email into forms like that to see what comes back... lol

not sure if this is anything, but it sounds like there might be some kind of voice at around 2:30 or 2:31. Maybe someone with audio skills could check it out?

Yeah, looks like Whisperbox is another player in the ARG arena.

They do nice design work, I gotta say.

This is my one goodie drop before I disappear for boards study again. I do believe that http://www.thelema.org and http://thelemacollege.com/ *are* related. Read through this page: http://thelema.org/aa/index.html and note that the page mentions an Aleister Crowley. Then, go to http://thelemacollege.com/ where there is a link to Robert Maxwell's latest book: http://www.hiddensecretbook.com/.

Incidentally, "not since Aleister Crowley has an author unleashed a stream of though so refreshing".

Coincidence? I think not. also notice that the motto for Thelema College is the same as the motto on the seal of thelema.org, and the seals are eerily similar.

Look into the Thelema.org website deeper -- it may not be directly linked, but there may be some answers there!

thelema.org is NOT "in game".

Thelema is an actual philosophy...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thelema

Quote:
Thelema is a religious philosophy that was developed by the early 20th century British writer and ceremonial magician Aleister Crowley. He believed himself to be the prophet of a new age, the Aeon of Horus, based upon a religious experience that he had in Egypt in 1904. During this, he claimed that a non-corporeal being known as Aiwass contacted him and dictated a text that was known as The Book of the Law or Liber AL vel Legis, which outlined the principles of Thelema.

For something so... well... out there... it's not surprising that some organizations exist to follow it, especially considering how prolific Aleister Crowley was.

The Wikipedia article does make reference to the "College of Thelema", although no Wikipedia article exists for the reference.

That does bring up another interesting link: The Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Open_Source_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn

...and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn

...which explains the name "Goldman and Dawn".

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but I didn't see it. The dean of Thelema College is Vincent DiMicheala, which according to her tweet, is her brother.

EDIT: Also, I'm not understanding this tweet from her:
"I wish Goldman wasn't so cryptic and weird about some of this. "Magick?" really? lol"
If she works for a company named Goldman and Dawn AND her brother is dean of the Thelema College, this shouldn't be that baffling to her.

I thought exactly the same. Is she like... suffering memory loss or in major denial?!

Meanwhile, I've emailed contact@goldmananddawn thus:

Quote:
I spoke to one of your employees, a Sarah DiMicaela I think, earlier in the week about taking on your firm for my business as an outsourced accountancy solution. I've been trying to call her to follow up on the conversation but I have yet to receive a reply from her - could you please let me know if she is likely to reply to me any time soon?

Regards,

Sam

Thought it best not to use "Sarah" as my name, haha. XD

her tweet regarding her job smells of sarcasm to me. she laughs at their pun, an inside joke. accounting isn't that magical, the spelling, etc anything like that....
i myself emailed the school to see if they'd accept me as a student

Really nice production value here... I wonder though, is this an actual ARG or is it just some designer guy's 'demo reel', considering how easy it is to get from the whathappenedtosarah.com site to his business site, it makes me feel like it might just be a kind of overly-complex addition to his portfolio, rather than an actual game.

Hope I'm wrong, though, this looks like it could be really good.

The "meta" site could simply be a side effect of his hosting plan. GoDaddy hosting has a similar problem: regardless of how many domains you have in one account, there will always be a "default" website, especially if you get a dedicated IP for it. It's the reason I personally get separate hosting plans if I want sites to be distinct and unrelated.

There are ways around it, but most of them are actual coding solutions... This person doesn't seem like the programmer type.

And we've seen some rather impressive things in the past done for the sole purpose of padding one's portfolio. I wouldn't dismiss it until it plays out.

Foundations of Magick

This course will include a detailed investigation of the practices outlined in Aleister Crowley's Liber O. It will be experiential in nature, and will include information, tips and actual practice. The course is designed for practitioners who wish to develop a regimen of spiritual practices that includes Assumption of God Forms, Vibration of Divine Names, pentagram rituals, hexagram rituals, astral travel, and other exercises that help to create magical rituals and increase self-knowledge.
