My local Commandant... er... Postmaster told me the name requirement was a part of the post-9/11 changes. Stupid thing is I'd received stuff as Euchre before - but well AFTER 9/11/2001. I could find no such requirements where it counted either - the Domestic Mail Manual:

They seem to get a little less assertive when you walk in with pages of the DMM printed out that concern your issue. It's actually not too hard to understand and is not so incredibly large that the average person couldn't read it.

Key thing is if you didn't get a badge and FL says they tried to send one at least once, go down to your PO and ask about it. Chances are if you do, if it is resent it's much more likely it'll mysteriously arrive the second time.

So, I go down to the Post Office, yesterday and have it out with them.
After a lot of cases of me saying, "that CAN'T be true because [Insert exception to their argument]." They said the main factor is just the application you fill out when you get a box. So, now... As far as the US Government is concerned... Rogi Ocnorb is part of my family. So... End of story, right?
Not quite.
I check my email when I get home and what do I find?

They managed to get that to me 1 day short of a full month. What happened to "We resent it"? I thought that meant they sent it to me, twice. Guess it meant they took great exception to it, instead.

P.S. The Post Office also said that they are absolutely required to deliver stuff with,"Or Current Resident" to the address listed, regardless of addressee.
So, Guess what the "Address 1" block of any address requests from games will say when I fill it out in the future?

I'm off to correct a bunch of addresses, now.

What could have possibly been wrong with the photo you provided?

All of these USPS problems are surprising me. When I ran an ARG, I never had an issue with them... actually, I was very pleased with their service and rates.

I guess it depends on who is working and the geographic area?

These USPS problems are interesting and disturbing. I hope for my next ARG I won't have any issues as a puppetmaster because of this.

As a matter of fact kwool -my wife is wearing the shirt you sent to me right now (through USPS). I had no issues w/ FL either. Other than they haven't sent me a free FL t-shirt yet for no apparent reason Smile

I really don't know; Oh random, internet forum spammer.

But it is starting to P|$$ me off!
Just got ANOTHER rejection for the pic for what appear to be completely arbitrary reasons I don't understand because it met all their requirements.
Not to sound too much like Kramer on Seinfeld... But...
Why don't you just TELL me what's wrong with the picture?

Looks like "resent" really does mean they don't like me and not that they sent the badge again.

It's getting comical, now.
I just have to wonder how long this will go on.

Their offer to send the badge UPS must have been bogus, as well since they can't accept the pic.
At this rate, I'll have 4,000 posts on the forums in no time.

Crying or Very sad

Bummer man...I'm hoping it all gets worked out for you soon, and not for totally selfish reasons either... Wink

Woohoo! Represent! Very Happy

It's really too bad that all of these issues are happening. It seems like the problem is pretty isolated, which is good, but it's still unfortunate that Rogi still can't seem to obtain a badge.

Was your picture a headshot of yourself and of at least a good resolution? (mine was a few hundred pixels wide and tall)
