Apparently they can't.
It's just annoying me now because whenever I see a title with something like "Basement sounds" in my subscriptions (or a title that's just obviously not anything else I'm subscribed to), I have a mini-braingasm because I think it's a TTA video or something.

...and then I remember that I subscribed to this. ;_;

I saw all of the videos and they just seem like a lame ripoff. They are terrible quality and it just uses the same premise of MH. I could make something better myself. I SHOULD make something like this.

You guys, maybe hold on to the slender-ARG making for a little while? There's been a rash of 'em, lately. If you're thinking, "Good god, this is awful. I should do better!" actually sit down and do some planning and research before you jump the gate! Sit on the urge to post stuff for a month at least and work on it in that time. If you're still as hyped to go, and you have a nest-egg worth of material to start a smallish game, then go for it. Don't just rush out expecting what you do to be amazing. I think that this is how the mediocre games seem to crop up so often in the first place.

Basically, what Dray said.

I would recommend, if you are doing an actual ARG, to set up all the puzzles ahead of time. Have some friends go over them to make sure they're at least solvable and don't have any misleading connotations. If your character is of X profession, research it and build your character up. Create a timeline of events - "post a blog update on Xth of Y. If puzzle is not solved by Zst of Y, give another hint/post the solution," thinks like that.

I might not a Alternate Reality Game Master, but the theory is simple enough.

I haven't noticed anything strange going on in or near my home in the past 2 weeks, so it might be a few days. I usually see these things every 1-3 weeks.
I also got a new camera.
