 		Apparently no one remembers this scene
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When Rinzler is chasing the aircraft and Flynn spots him out the left side of the craft going in to attack CLU he wispers "Tron". Then as rinzler is fading into the water his suit turns from red to blue.

Rinzler is the evil version of Tron which was brought about when they all broke up.


and as far as the double identity discs
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When Tron, Clu, and flynn split up during the short history part in the movie, tron is fighting off the programs attacking Flynn and he grabs one of their discs, looks at it and then puts them both up in the air like he did whenever he was a bout to fight. This would be when he first gets the two discs and perhaps it was one of these discs that corrupts him....

Actually if you listen closely, it sounds more like a subdued modem or fax connection... like a form of data exchange. None of the other reds have that, only Rinzler. Almost as if some coding was perhaps... repressing him? like a virus or corrupt code. hm.

 		Flynn stated that Clu 2.0 couldn't delete a program, only re-purpose them (Rectifier or games?)

Tron was still fulfilling his programming to protect the system, just that it was Clu's skewed view of the system,

Until he remembered he fights for the users.

 		The first time I saw the movies (so far I have seen it three times) I was a bit put off by
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

the apparently abrupt conversion of Rinzler back into TRON during the light plane sequence. Then the second time I watched closely as Rinzler's jet did the loop over Flynn and realized that Flynn's light (aura, digital imprint, whatever) was reflected directly in Rinzler's helmet. My take is that this was the first time that Rinzler/TRON had been that close to Flynn since his conversion by Clu. Remember that Flynn never actually saw what happened to TRON when Clu took him down. So I look at it as when Rinzler got close enough to Flynn, he was "rebooted" by Flynn's energy field, resulting in the "I fight for the users" statement and reconversion back to TRON.

yeah, that's what I took it as, a modem handshake on dialing. It'd be pretty sweet if they actually encoded a message in what he was saying.
