[News] Reminder: Final ARGnet cast tomorrow night 9pm CT

Jamesi has provided a wonderful and valuable service to our community (and everyone else in the world too) by hosting, editing and posting the ARGnet casts. And the cast of co-hosts, panelists and guests have been great as well.

Tomorrow night is the final netcast. I wouldn't miss this for the world. Please join in the live netcast stream from ustream if you can make it.

Here are some salient links:

Jamesi's post announcing the final show:

And, if I don't get a chance to thank him during the show: Thanks jamesi, you've done a fabulous job.

*cry!*

I seldom get to hear it because of the schedule, but a part of me is going to miss it.

I've actually been asked by at least two people "why don't you do it?" Sadly, not only is that not my style and I hardly have the time myself, but I don't think I can compare to the quality that it once was.

I doubt anyone can do something of the quality that ARGnet had.

I'll be watching, but if I cry, you'll know why

So we had an impressive group in the chat room to send their regards and respects to jamesi and the netcast crew. Imbri returned from a 6-month absence from social media and Gupfee announced (it was news to me anyway) the new collaborative company formed by her, varin and Addlepated..dog tale media

Kona did make it! As well as Ozy, greywolf, Bill (from deaddrop), christy dena, evan (mysteryjones -who is expecting his second baby in 5 days), macmonkey, maureen mcq (and for a brief period Steve Peters, the founder of ARGN which jamesi took over, Steve and Maureen work together at No Mimes), labfly...and a host of other people I hadn't seen in ages as well as the more usual cast of characters...there were over 60 people there so I hope I don't offend any one by leaving them out.

A great tribute to ARG netcast that so many people dropped in chat for the final show. The netcast will be missed! Jamesi hopes someone will step in; anyone who does can expect support from the community as they get started. So don't be intimidated, even though these are big shoes to fill, people will support your efforts.

My take away from this final show: how we all have met and become friends online first ; were "brave" enough to meet in real life, and continue to be a thriving, supportive community.

My second take away: look at how many players became great PMs (or leaders within the genre) and how strong they are going now.

PS. there were many calls in the chat room for SpaceBass to sing, sadly his new phone and existing headsets had tech issues, but we wait in hope.
