You guys are caring way too much about where the video came from and how it was made and not enough time on what we're supposed to interpret it. Regardless of whether the MH crew somehow shot the footage or edited it, you're supposed to figure out how it fits in the story so far. Who cares if they take a video from California and edited it? You're supposed to believe that's Jay's old apartment and then relate the video to the story.

First off, all three instances are definitely Slender Man. Use some common sense, there's more than just "it looks like Slender Man", there's also audio and/or visual distortion in every supposed sighting of him adding to the odds that it is in fact him. Next, if you think that's a firefighter and not Slendy in front of the house, ask yourself this: Since when can firemen rip doors off hinges with one hand and why would they have that kind of urgency to get in long after the fire's been put out? Personally, this is where editing looks the most obvious from a technical point of view. The size of the door frame looks different after the door's ripped off.

Stop asking how the video was made and start asking who did it and what was Slendy's involvement. MH wouldn't have posted it if it were exclusively a video of a burning building (even if it was Jay's apartment). You have to believe they put a little more care into their videos than that.

Hey guys, J made a second tweet, comenting that there was some more distortion at the end of the broadcast. Any check for an "Extra ending".

Update: Checked, there isn't. And those images you are seeing in the fire? Water streams.

If Slenderman causes the fire (as seen in Sighting #3), he would not need to get into the building as shown in Sighting #1. Sighting #2 makes it unlikely that Sighting #3 is Slendy; Slendy would have had to go from a place of safety (the crowd) back into the blaze he may have caused; of course, this could be explained as Slendy saying to anyone who can see him "Fire cannot stop me! What makes you think you can?"

Of course, I am leaving out the "Slendy behind the curtain" sighting (Sighting #1.5?) in these counts.

Any problems with this?

My first thoughts when Jay said a friend called him were, "PFFT! Jay doesn't have any friends."

Someone in the MH facebook group said the tree/telephone pole/slendy in the crowd has visible slendy hands, that's what I looked for, and I saw it, but it could still be something else.

Also, the movement of the thing that tosses the door down looks very Slend-like, especially when it walks through the door way. Just puttin that out there.

Does anyone else hear a low voice in the background of the video? Around 1:30? I'm not sure if it's just someone talking in the background, or some purposeful sound ... thing.

How it reflects light reminds me of dress slacks and a blazer. Also, since when do tree shafts (I don't know the proper name for it so that's what I'm going to call it) start thinner at the bottom and get thicker from there? It looks like legs and a body.

this was a kind of lame entry, the creators just taped a news broadcast i guess and SSSH ed out the place names. obviously it would be impossible for them to make this themselves - they wouldn't go to the effort to hire a few middle age actors and stage a fire with a bunch of people in a crowd and fire trucks and such. they still might have edited a slender man in somewhere, i guess :\

i am still eagerly anticipating more though.
