Apologies if this or similar things have been posted before.

A thought. It is known that TTA has had access to the tapes, yes? It is assumed that Masky is Tim. If Tim had previously had access to the tapes, why would he not have edited all of his strange behaviour (taking the same pills that Jay found in the house) out of them? Especially if he knew he may at some point have to go to such extreme lengths as arson to achieve his aims whatever they may be?

Thus

Tim (probably) = Masky

But

Masky =/= TTA

Are you suggesting that while Tim doesn't want Jay to know that he's Masky, TTA does want him to know?

It seems odd to me that if that's the case, TTA would get such clear footage of Tim putting on his mask with his back to us in ######.

If Tim is Masky is TTA, though, it would be odd that he doesn't want Jay to see his face in #18, when Jay goes to lift his mask, but then includes clues later on. It could be that there's a chronological reason (Masky growing impatient, or playing games, then dropping the pretense of 'wooooh, I'm a myyyystery!' in order to get down to business....)

Anyways, I'm having a bit of trouble following your leaps, there. Are you saying that the apartment complex was burned down to destroy the tapes, and that that's more inefficient than having Tim go in and edit himself out of the footage to begin with, hence he isn't TTA? There seems to be a disconnect going on there for me between 'editing footage' and 'Tim/Masky's not TTA'.

Holy crap!!! I thought I recognized that news anchor. That footage is from my hometown! I went to school in Corunna. I remember that fire!

The wonderful part of all of these supposed sightings is that they may as well ALL be Slenderman. I've noticed that ever since I was exposed to the mythos, I've seen that fucking guy in everything. I'm programmed to spot him, even when he's not there, everywhere from news footage to old movies to my own goddamn street. I'm sure I'm not alone. And I'm sure the MH crew is more than aware of that phenomenon.

In short, if you think you see Slenderman... you do.

Second reaction: "Haha, what's it gonna be, Masky leaving chocolate on Jays hotel pilloooooh my god, his house is on fire!"

Third reaction: "Wait, Jay has living friends?!"

Fourth reaction: "SHIT JUST GOT REAL."

So finally, the infamous fire in Brians painting comes to light? Or are we gonna get some news footage of a forest fire near the end of the series? How much stuff has been thrown into MH to give us clues as to what's gonna happen?

I'm sort of on the fence about who set the fire. I mean with Slendy, it fits in with his original mythos. But so far in MH, he hasn't been violent at all, (assuming Alexs head wound that one time was self-inflicted) just seeming sort of... curious, in an eerie way.

But TTA/Masky continues to attack him, stalk him, hack his interwebs and make vague threats. And this definitely fits into "THIS ISN'T A GAME ANYMORE JAY" thing. What better way to stress that than burn down his house?

I just hope Jay crawls out from his hotel room all "now it's PERSONAL" and actually do some serious investigating again. We're telling you dude, GO YELL AT TIM. Because if he seriously doesn't know who Masky is yet, his brain has been turned to Slendergoo.

Also it's not too hard to believe that Jay still has contact with other people. Ever since shit started going down, he probably tried to cut all ties with them. Hell, I'd be concerned for a buddy too, if I hadn't seen them in months and suddenly their apartment is burning down on the news.

And this entry was sort of a slap in the face. With all this weird time-warping, creepy people stalking you in the dead of night, and the only people we see being the rather small cast (and we ain't seen them in FOREVER) suddenly seeing a news report with a crowd andrealizing "Hey, they're still on earth, there are still people outside of MH land!" is like WHOA.

Maybe it was just me, but it was a bit trippy.

My hopes for #26: "Be vewwy, vewwy quiet, I'm huntin' Maskies!"
