Besides the colour, I don't think so. The red tower interests me, anyway - how did the tape get there, for one? Someone put it there. Alex was planning to burn all of the tapes anyway, why would he make an exception for this one? I doubt it's fond memories.

If it was Masky, I can sort-of understand. He knew J would go back to the tower and planted it there for him to retrieve. He would have presumably taken the tape from Alex, somehow.

If it was Slendy, it makes me wonder if Slendy has hidden depths; we've never seen him as a manipulator beyond his aura of fear. His response when J apparently confronted him in the house was to attack him (but we can't really see what happened very clearly) - the only time when we've seen Slendy manipulating people is be using their fear of him to make them run away or to chase him (according to some alternate character interpretation). Regardless, it makes one wonder why Slendy had the tape; in addition, Slendy has been seen to disrupt technology (visual tearing etcetera), while the tape is relatively good condition.

Sorry if this seems like an off-topic ramble, I've just been curious.

Pretty much exactly my thoughts, the entire thing!

Especially that last part!! I mean HOW MUCH MORE plot-advancing can you GET than "Jay's house burned down"?! Takes it back out of the realm of the creepy supernatural and into the real world again. Scaaary shit. I am stoked to see what's next!

 		The big question in this entry is "Why did J's apartment have to burn down?" Is this incident related to any other MH incident so far? Is this the first time a Slendy-victim suffered a fire?

Let's assume that Brian owned the fire painting to remind himself of an event he lived through. If that's the case, then he witnessed a fire that was significant to him in some way. And, since he is Alex's friend (and since he's in a SM ARG), the significance of the fire is tied to SM. It's possible that Brian was stalked by SM before Alex - adding huge levels of creepiness to Entry 7.

And now J experiences a fire. Assuming Brian got away from SM, maybe Masky started the fire to help J cut his SM ties (har har). This makes some sense - SM deposited J back at his apartment once he was done with him in the basement, and J had been sleepwalk teleporting into mystical zones. Who knows, this could reset J's Slendy Danger to pre-basement levels.

 		Morsc, you make a good point. This is a SM ARG. So why haven't we seen any sign of Mr. Thin for a while? Why all this Masky business. I'm starting to think that maybe he's not the villian here, just an observer. The whole removing and replacing organs, sounds like a creature who doesn't understand how the body work.

I think it's a huge stretch to assume Brian had a painting of fire because he had a Slendy encounter having to do with fire. It's not like fire is an uncommon subject for art.

However, I think the idea that fire can set Slendy off of Jay's trail has merit, and gives another possible motive for Masky to torch the place.

It's been... three entries since his last appearance, which was a relatively large one. Entry #24 could have been caused by him or Masky, depending on whether you believe Masky has supernatural powers (or the ability to create "warping doors").

Regarding the idea of Masky burning down the apartment to get Slendy off his trail - I am not sure of the likelihood of this. Perhaps J had... something that Slendy wanted in his apartment (but I am not sure what this could be), and Masky decided to purge the entire apartment to stop Slendy getting his tentacles on it, as well as giving a message to J.

Furthermore, some have cited Mr. Thin's connection with fire to be a point in favour of our tentacled friend; however, Masky could have torched it to echo this. J lurked on Something Awful for a while, I believe, and as such; he is likely familiar with these roots. Just an idea.

If Tim is Masky is TTA, though, it would be odd that he doesn't want Jay to see his face in #18, when Jay goes to lift his mask, but then includes clues later on. It could be that there's a chronological reason (Masky growing impatient, or playing games, then dropping the pretense of 'wooooh, I'm a myyyystery!' in order to get down to business....)



As far as this goes, I so far like the idea that Tim's face is burned beyond all recognition. I have absolutely no reason to believe this, other than the fact that he's wearing a mask. I just like the idea.

I'm still pretty convinced that that was Slendy hanging out behind the sofa in #24. It just looks too much like a tie/white shirt/hand to me.

Wow, I love the new entry. It seemed pretty scary to me - am I the only one scared by news reports? xD
Also, could someone write down all that was said in the video? Like someone did to the entries before. There sure was something about pets, which could be a sign of Slendy; there may be some more important details.

AND... the figure some people saw in the window and the way the person who threw away the door stood, reminded me of Admission. Have only I noticed this?!

Also, I somehow connected the door-breaking with the "there are doors unopened". Could it be?..
Admission means "an acknowledgment of the truth of something" AND "the right to enter".

It is possible that the game's writers saw that footage and thought, "Wow, that guy there looks perfect for SM, let's edit this tape and make it a sighting of him!" And the video tearing at that exact point is consistent with that.

In the videos, there has been several instances of characters not seeing Slendy when they clearly should have, but the camera has picked them up. You know, we've been assuming that Alex started filming himself 24/7 for the same reason that J did, to catch himself if he did anything weird. Hmm... you're right, it does look suspicious, but something about the way it moves... if that is a person (or whatever we're dealing with here), I think that's Masky.

 		Can someone post screen shots of the other supposed sightings? Like, the one that might be a telephone pole or Slendy since the distortion happens just as the camera passes over it.

Also, the firefighter one, to be thorough.
