Do you ever read threads? There have been like three posts in this thread by you where you bring up something that's already been brought up tens of times, including this one.

No i didnt read the thread sorry i just popped in so my bad for not reading.

Why do you think this would warrant its own thread? Hell, why would you even make a video? It's a hell of a lot more convenient to read text than to watch you talking slowly for about ten minutes. I'm pretty sure with how little content there was, I could get through a post with everything you said in about 15-20 seconds.

If you're sorry, then don't do it again because it detracts from discussions that are already going on.

I posted this in game discussion, didnt post it here....

------------

About the subbed in home video?

(possible immersion ruining etc.)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There was a fire in Brimmingham, Alabama not too long ago. Thats the place near the Red Tower, they said it was an apartment fire. They could have possibly put up a Slenderprop and told everyone to ignore it or something. idk

Don't you think that'd be insensitive in a situation where peoples' homes are being burnt down and potential lives at stake? I'm pretty sure there's just no Slender Man visible in this video. They imply that he's present with the video distortion.

So why does everyone keep clinging to the hope that there's a Slendy prop somewhere in the video? There isn't. It's a tree.

The creators of Marble Hornets are good at what they do, but they aren't MASTERS OF FILM-EDITING or cryptology, they're just college students. I think we give them too much credit sometimes.

Agreed.

The problem with a series like this is that it gets people jumping at shadows. Every twig is an outstretched tendril, every shadow is a creature from Beyond out to offer us hugs and rip out guts out.

Y'know, sometimes a shadow is just bad lighting. Not everything has significance.

I'm pretty sure that they left it ambiguous so that we can decide for ourselves whether we see a Slendy in the clips or not. Part of the fun of earlier episodes (like #5, for example!) was to spot a Slendy. People had been calling for an episode in which we can search for an appearance and I think that the crew's delivered pretty well, in that case.

Me, personally? I don't think that Slendy's makes a visual appearance. I totally think there's an implied appearance, but I'm not seeing any head-tilting stilt-men in there. The big black shape in the night-clip? A tree trunk or a telephone pole. The strange shape on the roof of the blaze? Trick of steam and smoke. The debris-busting tall fella? A fire-fighter or an onlooker.

I don't like that people are trying to force a consensus, as I don't see how agreeing over whether a SM was edited in or not is going to advance anybody's theories. Fiasco, please GTFO with your frustration; if you're peeved that Slender Freak isn't adding to your discussion, then move on. Your derailing things with petty comments all the time is retarded.

Ok, here's what I think it is. A TREE. It's more possible than Slender and video tearing has happened in other videos where Slendy wasn't even seen. About the person looking into rubble, I don't know.

While Fiasco was pretty rude in how he said it, there was a small point there... this probably belongs in the Entry 25 discussion thread.

You all are probably right, but I just think so much about it because of how the light shines on the tall thing. Kinda looksl ike it's wearing clothes, but then again, the video is so low quality that someone could have just been standing there.

Spritey just cracked me the hell up.

So, as far as these Slendysightings go. The first image, with the black figure in front of the building pulling back a board or something, was an electrician or something, but NOT a dude in a Slendy costume. This can be clearly seen in the original news broadcast around 1:18, where there are a few of these men huddled around the door. It is not suspicious, and it is not Slenderman. This has been established in the thread. Please take the time to backtrack a few pages before "ZOMGLOOKSLENDYUGUISE". It helps if everyone's on the same page, so to speak.

Now, as for this one:

While I have to agree that I think people are going a little nuts with the Slendy sightings in this video, I have to say that I do think this *is* a Slendy insertion. It's honestly the simplest explanation. The video tears just as the camera passes the figure. It would be too difficult to try to digitally edit him into the fire in the background and have it look realistic, and let's face it, they can't afford to light a real fire like that. I think all that roof business is nonsense.

But the other reason that I really think Slendy was put into that shot is simply that that particular segment, the one that is referred to as home video, was specifically and carefully inserted by the MH crew. If you compare the original broadcast (0:53) to this broadcast (0:57), the original home video was COMPLETELY different. There is no reason for them to have edited over the segment (they could have achieved the visual tearing in the original home video without editing over it) other than to add something to the video.

The first eight or nine times I watched it, I didn't think twice about it being a tree. Then I questioned it, and after about 3-4 more views, I started thinking it might be, but now I'm almost positive. A friend of mine kept arguing that you can see branches, but this is incorrect, which she eventually realized. The only branches you can see are part of the treeline in the background. This is obvious as the camera moves and the branches remain in the same place. They do not move along with the trunk-like figure in the foreground. With the height of the camera angle at the beginning of the shot, that would have to be an extremely tall tree with the branches cut completely off at least eight feet up the trunk. While this is not by any means impossible, I find it unlikely. Also, in looking closely (though this is more of a subjective interpretation), I really can't distinguish a texture that would at all correspond with a tree. The reflection of the light from the camera looks much smoother (though as AshleySix said, this could have something to do with the quality of the video), and the only knots, if it were a tree, are in the places one would expect to see Slendy's arms and elbows. I realize the last two are more personal conjecture than anything, but I figure I might as well post it, since personal conjecture is what most of this is about anyway.

(Edit: Realized the electrician thing like halfway through my post and forgot to change it.)
