 		[META]Matrix Fanatics Hindered in Their Investigation?
This can be considered a message adressed to the puppet masters (obviously we know they are watching), but also a message to the other players.

They seem to be afraid that we're looking to deep into this and comparing it too much to "The Matrix", and looking to the movies to find their answers. I tend to disagree with that. Looking around here, sure I see a lot of Matrix fans, but we've been doing a fairly good job in my opinion of soling the puzzles. In fact even most of the Matrix fans here try not to let others get carried away with Matrix correlations. At the beginning there have been a lot of, "Wow this is a Matrix spinoff." Because that was how it was advertised, right?

But for the most part, lately we've been trying to figure this out by looking at the story itself.

Many people point out that lack of Matrix referrences shows this is not Matrix related. But it would be stupid right Afterall if this were an official Matrix spinoff, the genius would be to make sure no referrence was made to the WB and even to make no blatant referrence to "The Matrix". That would be stupid, and I'd give this game a 1/10 for gameplay.

Are these amateurs or WB affiliated puppet masters? It could go either way really. Omnie offered me this little *cough* (yes click on the cough). Could still be considered a weak cough depending on how you look at it. It would seem according to that that these are amateur PMs and this might not have anything to do with the Matrix. If you scroll down, you’ll see that someone (it would seem) very high up and affiliated with the very official A.I. game, The Beast. He says that these are Matrix fans not WB involved. Another spot mentions how someone e-mailed the WB and asked them if they were involved in this and that if they weren’t the concern is that the obsessed Matrix fans will be let down. The person got a response that said, “You’re right to have concern” (but no claim that went either way, sooo, this statement comes off as being a nicely put “No Comment”). But Mr. Iggy (who referred to us Matrix fans as “rabidly” approaching this ARG), the one who is posting all this information, is very careful to still not come to any conclusions. Rightfully so.

Someone else talked about another incident in which someone somehow found who was really behind this. And it wasn’t anyone amateur. Again I don’t have any of this proof on me to support either side, so really it could go either way.

I actually expected, that even if the WB is involved in this, they would just come right out and deny it, just to keep up the mystery, and they want to have fun with this. If they are amateur PMs they still seem to be having fun, and not getting any money from it. I think it’s the player’s own fault if he/she decided to mail their personal information, even if it does turn out to be official. Damn, I wouldn’t even give my phone number to any of the Brothers Wachowski themselves. I don’t know them.

So despite our love for “The Matrix” (except someone who thinks “The Matrix” sucks) this ARG has been moving forward. It’s just well, any talk of linking this game to “The Matrix” is starting to make people queezy who just want to play the game. It’s true said person had nothing to contribute to this forum except to say how all us Matrix fanatics are hindering our investigation. Whether or not he really does think the Matrix sucks, one possibility is that he got so fed up, he got a new unforum username and got on his soapbox on the subject. But honestly I don’t think it was as bad as he made it out to be. We’ve gotten this far haven’t we?

Anyway, I’m going to make my own bold statement about what the puppet masters want of us. They want us to keep an open mind. If you have a personal belief that somehow this is linked to “The Matrix” go ahead and make your proposal, but don’t everyone be ready to jump on the Matrix bandwagon. The puppet masters want the end to be a surprise. This puzzle is not done, there’s more websites to uncover, more puzzles to solve. Whether or not this is a Matrix ARG the PMs do not want us to automatically come to that conclusion right now. Take those goddamn baby steps when you’re investigating and quit trying to make badly prepared leaps of faith, whether you think this an official Matrix ARG or if you think this ARG is just a simple story dealing with the paranormal (or any other possibilities far and in between these two). There’s a number of possibilities. If you recall, “The Matrix” is somewhat of a tribute to “Ghost in the Shell”, what if, just what if, this is not even about “The Matrix” but it is a tribute to the franchise? That is a very likely possibility. What if it’s an investigation of the paranormal world, a tribute to Spielburg’s “Poltergeist”? What if it turns out to be a fluffy Harlequin romance story? The possibilities are endless.

I am going to say it. I think this is an official Matrix ARG. HOWEVER! In doing my investigation I’m going to deal with the story itself. I have not seen the hard connection to the Matrix yet (and again, of course you won’t, because even if it were WB PMs, they’re not gonna be that stupid). I’ll admit I was on the Matrix bandwagon for a while, but not anymore. I’m going on my personal beliefs right now, but they aren’t so strong as to shatter my will to go on in this investigation if my beliefs prove to be wrong.

I have a proposition for those of you who are inclined to believe this is a Matrix ARG. But it requires you to have a child’s imagination. That’s right, I’m asking you to pretend. Pretend you are in the Matrix, in other words, you are viewing this world as if it were the real world and you have no idea that there is a Zion, a real world outside of this one. Your investigations will be based on what you have. Wait until you get approached to take the red pill for you to make your conclusion on this game.

only show you the door..." I've done my part, you guys go ahead and draw whichever conclusions you can twist from the data.

I don't see how you can just ignore the evidence to draw your own conclusion, though...

Igpajo's statement concerned one particular incident that took place on these very boards which everyone seems to have completely forgotten. Not that this is a bad thing, but it means that we keep having these pointless debates over and over again. Just get over it, please...it's a fanmade ARG, done by people who seem to know what they're doing...so get over it and have fun. I kind of know who Iggy's contact was, for the simple reason that Iggy suggested contacting him to me before sending the message (not any wrong behavior on his part, for the record), and the statement appeared to be rather more conclusive than you make it out to be...certainly not a "no comment." *Sigh yourself* And now I in turn give up on you Omnie. My post here was not to open up another damn debate on whether this is an official Matrix ARG or not. Other events that happened right here in this forum supports the official idea. However, if you bothered to read any ounce of my post my basic message was the same exact friggin thing as yours sir. "To have fun in your investigation regardless if this is a Matrix ARG or not." I knew it. I knew someone would come in here and display unintelligence in responding to my post. Just take it as encouragement and move on. I wasn't trying to start an argument. Yeah, move on. If you're gonna misunderstand my words, just move on.

[EDIT] I'm sorry I sound mad. But I have little tolerance when people take my words out of context. It's probably a girl thing.

This is thread no. umpteen in the official/unofficial- or matrix/non-matrix-debate and these discussions are imho the only thing that "hinder our investigation" to use your own words, so why start another chapter in it?

Let's all play and see where this leads us instead of discussing what that could possibly be and how... (and yes, I do know that that is exactly what your point is too, I just don't understand the fact that you post something full of still debatable "facts" and expect people NOT to debate them).

This wasn't mean to be a rant. This is not part 3 of the debate. This was supposed to be encouragement. Fluffy flowery, happy, "let's all get along" encouragement and that's all it was meant to be.

You know what maybe I should say that I'm for the idea that this ISN'T a Matrix ARG. But, nooo, then the Matrix fans will come in ready to argue. So you know what [EDITING MY VIEWS]I don't know okay? [EDIT]I better clear something up. If you do feel so inclined, you can come in here and debate. If you want one I'll give you one. I'm just saying that's not why I started this. That's why I started the other one ([META]The Metacortechs ARG is the only thread arguing this point that I started. Other people were responsible for starting these debates elsewhere.)
