Link to the Past [Trailhead]

I had a favorite neighbor who passed away recently. She was so kind and generous, and had a very strong accent, probably something eastern European.

In her will, she left me a few things: a pewter medallion with a knight on a horse, an icon showing a young saint, a small handful of amber pebbles, and an old wooden cross bearing an inscription. I've copied it here as well as I can:

čiūčia ..... dukrytėla
mano mylimoji
kiek ..... kartų per dienelį
tavį....
..........
auk didutė būk greitutė
..... dukrytėla
.............
mano mylimoji

Apparently, she didn't have any family left, so there's no one to tell me about her life. All I know is that her name was Amelia Jones, and she died just before her 99th birthday. Besides that, the only thing I knew about her past was that her family had moved to Russia when she was an infant, so her father could work for the Tsar.

Finally, there's a letter I bought at her estate sale (it was such a pain to get onto my computer, but my scanner decided to die yesterday):

I want to find out where she'd from, and what her past was. It's not some world-changing mystery, but one that I'd like to solve for her memory.
And I won't be starting a blog or anything; I'd only lose the password. I'll just post more info here.

I wouldn't do that if i were you...
...unless this gets moved to TimeWasters and you just step forward as the author of some puzzles.

Otherwise, you cannot run a game from within this forum. (i'd link to the Terms of Service if i had it handy)

Read the blog, translated stuff. I'm calling it, your neighbour was Anastasia Nikolaevna the princess who supposedly escaped the execution of the Romanovs.

Ok, I hope you're right. Cus that would be the greatest ARG related put down I've ever seen.

Although, I suppose I hope you aren't right - then it at least leaves it open to the rest of us!
