About the logo... There is a definite "break" seen in the k and g, as in my avatar. When the "arrow" shows up on screen, it doesn't go to the top and bottom edges of the screen, whereas the circles do...

I know it's pretty sad to be discussing the correctness of a logo, but I'm bored...


Yes, the boredom with this "arg" has set in like never before lol...

 		wish I could say I was following this for a while and all that but I cant. I just started following it yesterday, but I came across something on the COD wiki that seems plausible, although odd.

The characters thought to be Japanese or Chinese seem to also be the very, very stylized characters "E3". the E3 conference is next month, but why would they tell us that and make us wait more than a month for the next transmission? also, why bother stylizing the letters that much? eh, maybe not reliable at all, but at least it's a thought to ponder...

That sounds plausible. Valve told us to wait in their Portal ARG. And we've been waiting since the middle of March. So a wait until E3 isn't unheard of.

 		well, according to the E3 website, Activision has 4 booths at E3, so something pertaining to GKNOVA6 could be there, if indeed we are dealing with Activision/Treyarch. But then, we would have to hope someone who is following/playing the ARG is at E3 and posts their findings in complete detail. Otherwise, we're pretty much screwed.

 		I feel a bit taken in as I honestly thought that if we could get to the final transmision on the original TV set, we'd at least get transmission 1 type content which would have clues to the plot....

I cant be bothered to trust Treyarch on this as although they make good video games;they might run appaling ARG's for all we know as there is no track record.

On a more positive note:

Carbon from CODZ is going to the Treyarch studios on the 21st of May for a "meet the dev's/reveal the game" event.
He's been following GKNOVA and wll be asking questions about it so we should probably expect some additional info then...

To be honest, in my opinion it would be very bad form if they answered, or even acknowledge the existence of, the GKNova6 site.

That would be too "behind the curtain" for my taste.

If you could simply interview/get information out of those responsible about an arg currently still in action (boring, but still in action) isn't the purpose of the game ruined at that point? Why would anyone divulge info about this; just 'cause somebody will be in the general area of their office building?

Well I wouldn't say that. They're a good video game developer. They'd be a bad alternate reality game "puppetmaster". Razz

OK, finally had some time to look into it. I don't know what to do with what I found but basically, I just looked at the first ~15 seconds of audio from "transmission 7." I used Sonic Visualiser and tried to measure the frequency of each note pair, and their duration. I also went to http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/music/note/ and looked up each frequency's corresponding note.

I'm hoping you guys will know what to do with this stuff...and maybe if someone's interested, they can pick up where I left off. I attached a picture of what I'm looking at and a table of the data I collected in the first 15.2 seconds. Also, something curious that I did not count, if you look at each segment of notes...it looks like they were created with a series of notes, spaced out that isn't very audible. it shows up on the spectogram as dots...and I'm wondering if there's a significance in counting the dots. I already spent a bunch of time on the first 15 seconds of the audio file, and to be honest, without some reassurance that anyone cares or that it'll go somewhere, I don't feel like continuing hahaha. I just wanted to do something to get rid of the cricket sounds in this thread =P

It's real, it was posted through google which means they were logged in to google at the time. So unless someone cracked their password, it's legit.

Artem is Level_3 I believe.

ETA: Is it possible they are completely oblivious to these forums and all that happened on google groups??
