(877)386-4270 is a voicemail service. Or at least you can hit "#" and get voicemail options.

No, don't hack it please.

That's the number of tones between each chime.

Does it mean anything to anyone? lol

I think it's interesting how the tones are either soft or loud.

Three soft, one soft, two soft, one soft, two soft and four loud, one soft, two soft and two loud. Or sss s ss s ssLLLL s ssLL.

I tried Morse code and it's not Morse code. I don't know what to do with this.

Ahem...

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/codbo/

The IP address discovered on the poster goes to:

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/codbo/poster/default.aspx

...where you can sign up to be notified when the site goes live.

Could there be TWO ARGs for the same game?!?

If anything, that's a GameStop initiative and may have little to do with Treyarch directly.

Either that or it's part of the same game.

Who knows. Dunno

From what i gathered this isnt a 'gamestop' poster but one released from treyarch. The design is similar to the black ops website. The phone number IS important. That website sign in page (or whatever it is) may not be. Looks like this is about to pick up again...

The IP address that redirected to that website came from the poster, so if the phone is important the IP address is too.

The IP address leads to a Gamestop website. So this is a Gamestop poster.
I agree on the 3 1 2 1 6 1 4

ETA:
There are four different tunes. They go in the order ABCDADB. Including the beep count it would be:

A3 B1 C2 D1 A6 B4

(I'm not really sure where I'm going with this yet)

Each "beep" is exactly .5 seconds.

Well, even though I don't agree with the method used to pass this new info on, I must congratulate carbon on a very well presented and detailed description, and kudos for making all source material available for download.

now to figure out what to do with it all... Neutral

Nice work, they sound like either grid coords, or possibly letter placements, such as T4 was...

Congrats carbon and thanks for putting it all together in such great detail. You've got a drop to make even the most seasoned ARGer jealous. Cherish it.

Well said vapor.

Carbon, have you felt around the lining of the briefcase to see if any of it could come off? Given the picture on the cover of the CIA diary, I thought it might be worth checking. I wouldn't necessarily tear anything cause this briefcase is probably something you'll want to keep around for a while.

ETA: I checked both email address, kseaglesSPLATgknova6.com and dc1s31SPLATgknova6.com and both came back undeliverable

ETA2: Look familiar? http://freegovreports.com/index.php/project-artichoke/100-hypnotism-and-covert-operations

ETA3: The originals in order:
Carbon's Doc 14
Carbon's Doc 4
Carbon's Doc 17
Carbon's Doc 16
Carbon's Doc 15
Carbon's Doc 18

Google link I followed to get to these, it's the top link

Silly Ideas I know

Things you might try Carbon(these are above and beyond don't know how indepth these guys went)

Using a blacklight on the documents and objects to see if there is any hidden writting.

On the shells: might try the superglue trick to see if anything was left on them. as long as you haven't touched them with your bare hands.

Just longshot Ideas. These are somethings I have seen on previous ARGs in person.

Also on the tones. There has been discussion on hypnotism and MKUltra well couldn't tones be a way of triggering folks? Just a thought.

EDIT# the 877 number belongs to Level 3 communications http://www.customtollfree.com/toll-free-reverse-lookup/8773864270
