This is all going well. We still need the
Quote:
"MOD (4 tones) - 10 21 26 1 26 19 / 25 16 22 2 20 1 21 23 16 26 22 19 3

JUZAZSYPVBTAUWPZVSC

This is the main problem we have right now. Decoding this is most likely related to everything that follows."

So using the clue above, from Kyptos I found this website, in particular this page, http://realmoftwelve.kryptos.info/speculation/k1solution.html
Looking though this I see this "The keywords used in K1 could be partially determined by frequency analysis or other clues in the sculpture." Bringing us to the 5+5=10 and Freedom=7 which was found when frequency analysis was used. So perhaps we use these but im sligtly confused about how. Perhaps someone with more time and bigger brain can expand on this. Smile

rem* an acronym for "roentgen equivalent man ", a unit of of absorbed dose of ionizing radiation that accounts for biological effectiveness. Or from Wiki: The röntgen (roentgen) equivalent in man or rem is a traditional historical unit of radiation dose equivalent.

This could be true. Seems like its a clue for the whole thing, like the uranium and plutonium clues using the frequency. But I think "Kenneth, what's the frequency?" was a clue to check the frequencies and find those elements.

Ok with the Purple Hell solver I have worked out that:
J U Z A Z S Y P V B T A U W P Z V S C
Opened With Something
I don't know if that is the actual solution or just a coincidence that it can work out like that

This was taken from codzombies forum. I tried to work out what it meant. Have we been given a reference to Purple Hell befor? It rings a bell and I havent been following to whole gknova6 saga. Can somebody confirm and try to use the solver here: http://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/applets/cryptogram.htm I tried but its hard. Is the whole of america asleap? I seem to be the only working on it atm. Im in australia btw.

i think we must understand what the tones after the MOD means... to me the 4 tones are equals, the only thing that change is the pause between them...
from the first to the second: 1.2 sec / 58000 samples (+/-)
from the second to the third: 1 sec / 48500 samples (+/-)
from the third to the fourth: 0.9 sec / 43000 samples (+/-)
about the quote of kryptos, maybe the important thing is the key, Abscissa, or maybe the next words in the kryptos solution: UNDERGRUUND TO AN UNKNOWN LOCATION

just what i think... i hope to help

Random coincidence but while trying to figure out how that guy go to 'Opened with something' I put the letters into the crypto solver... first time I ran it the first 3 letters changed to CIA and the second time they changed to DEA... Thought that was kinda funny... Irrelevant but funny

Whoever posted that on CODZombies obviously got a little mixed up about cryptograms.
Code:
if   JUZAZS
 =   OPENED   then   YPVBTAUWPZVSC
                 =   _____NP__E_D_
                 ≠   WITHSOMETHING

Here's an online cryptogram solver with a few more functions than the one at Purple Hell: http://www.blisstonia.com/software/WebDecrypto/

For example:
-- You can ask it to ignore spaces and try to divide up the phrase properly as well as solving (obviously this method can give back a ridiculous amount of solves since it can use any word in its dictionary no matter the size).
-- In the clues box, you can define certain rules to the text. Such as, if you thought the first portion of the solve was in fact "opened" and only wanted to get back results that reflect that, you would put in the keys "j=o u=p z=e a=n s=d"

Hope that helps all current and future cryptogram endeavors! Very Happy That said, I will gladly bow if I'm wrong, but I don't think this one is a simple cryptogram.

@Ham Sleyer, lol yeah when you posted that, the latest possible time in the US was only 7AM and on a Sunday morning no less. Wink If I weren't such an insomniac, I'd be sleeping in too.

Over on CoDz forum someone has posted that the two elements are actually Lead and Uranium... Not plutonium as previously thought

I've got a small input here....

The word Abscissa also has meaning in and of itself...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abscissa

Sorry, pretty busy today....

Quote:
In mathematics, abscissa (plural abscissae) refers to the first element of an ordered pair.

It is the first of the two terms (x, y) by which a point is referred to, in a system of fixed rectilinear coordinate (Cartesian coordinate) axes. The abscissa is also known as the "x" coordinate of a point, shown on the horizontal line. The second coordinate, or the ordinate, is also known as the "y" coordinate of a point, shown on the vertical line.

Do we have anything that even remotely resembles ordered pairs? Even at that I still don't see how that info could be used

EDIT:

Someone over in the comments section on MovieViral posted this number:

281-832 2482

And said to call it as it has the next part of the puzzle... I can't help but be sceptical... Any Americans wanna check it out?

Just realised the number is just the number that lead to the element Lead(Pb) seperated into an american phone number... So there's probably one for Uranium as well... Whether the numbers work or not I have no idea

I just wonder how people can be so sure that the numbers 10 21 26 1 26 19 - 25 16 22 2 20 1 21 23 16 26 22 19 3 can be translated into JUZAZS- YPVBTAUWPZVSC.
Maybe this is a mislead?
It's kinda obvious to translate the numbers into the corresponding letters, but maybe it's a little more advanced?

This is my first post here by the way. I've been following the progression here and on CoDz for a while, and done a little bit of research myself too without much success.

The change the numbers is brought on by the fact no number goes over 26

I hope someone tries out the Marie Curie numbers as phone numbers soon so we can strike that off the list (assuming they're not involved)

I guess the dash in the long string of numbers is interesting.... Maybe that's a clue to what the numbers are

The number or code you have dialed is incorrect...

Ok so the numbers that lead to the 2 elements (Lead and Uranium) aren't phone numbers... Strike that off the list...

Back to figuring out that long string of numbers

EDIT:

Turns out the elements are Plutonium and Uranium after all... I can see where lead came from though...

Curie and Hertz are both 5 letters. Unfortunately, there are no good anagrams or anything for "CurieHertz", so it's probably wrong.

Oh thought I made a mistake for a moment... so it is definitely Plutonium then, not lead? Good Very Happy
