Poking around in the flash and found this image, which is...interesting.

Edit: removed for repeating.

Here are my results, what are yours?
6c 5b 28a 5c d3 2a 7c d5

6C 5B 28A [...] 4D 2A 7C 5D

I couldn't even get the middle. It sounds like E to me.

2 things, it is 4d, just checked that. And the 2nd a of the 2a isn't normal, it's like the sound at the beginning of the transmission, so an apostraphe maybe? sig giovan is italian so...

I'll double check the middle.

I'm getting 4c 4d now. which leaves me with cofpirte or cofpil'te

My transcription or whatever was way off.

COFPLRTE or COFPLI'TE

So we have: "Cofplrte the file find sig giovan"

That's evil putting a nonsensical word first.

Maybe we're just screwing up the transcription. Maybe it's complete the file find Sig Giovan.

Which makes sense because a file is hidden in the spectrogram.

EDIT: papa mudd beat me

That could definitely be it, then it would have been A31 and 3A, not a big stretch...the big stretch though is us both getting the same wrong answer.

OK, way too soon to be decompiling the flash and posting shots. Give us a chance to find our way in the right way first please! Wink

Nah it's cool, swf is a flash file, like a wav is music, or mp3 is music? Anyway the movie on gknova6 is a swf file, found here: http://gknova6.com/station.swf

swf files can be taken apart and you can examine all the stuff that makes them up, like images videos that sort of thing.

So what file needs to be completed. My best guess is the one in the spectrogram.

Just calling it, based off images found in the .swf:

You have to switch a channel combination in a specific order and then you get to enter a password.

That's my guess.

Sorry for DP, had to respond to this lol. I "ONLY" did it because I thought our original translation might be something like "decompile" or "decrypt" in italian, so I thought it might have been "Decrypt the file find sig giovan"

Plus I'm tired. There I'm justified. lol.

But you didn't have to post the image. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited too and I don't mean to sound like I'm scolding.
ETA - what are you guys using to come up with the notes?

i also noticed if you click the transmission twice or more times it echos to how many times you clicked it...
maybe we can put them together somehow and also play with that nob that moves the picture some how...

almost how it was back in the day when you had to move the antenna around to find the right frequency...

I don't understand why it's a bad thing that AzureWolf posted that image he found? Why would we not want to examine a clue like that?

Hmm, true Razz

I used this: http://seventhstring.com/xscribe/download.html

It works well, I selected the specific section (by word really) in audacity, exported it to wave, and then in transcribe you highlight the note and it tells you it's best guess.

Because it's not a clue, I "hacked" it. Confused
