Signs it's COD:BO

1. Activision Google Analytics registration number
2. Letters spell TREYARCH
3. 2010:3:2 numbers appear in both trailer and ARG
4. Same relative idea of a computer/doctor room in trailer and ARG
5. Mysterious USB drives were sent to COD fans

Unfortunately SamuelofR247 I don't see this much evidence pointing to anything else.

The GA number proved it was Activision as a publisher; that doesn't mean it specifically was known to be COD at the time. Singularity is also published by Activision.

right, nobody's disputing or arguing that there are signs towards that. I'm just saying there's no undisputable proof. "Treyarch" in document could be a red herring...i feel like everytime we say that somebody says "it says Treyarch, done deal" hahaha...maybe this will help:

Red Herring: "something intended to divert attention from the real problem or matter at hand; a misleading clue"

More Details to come, do not loose hope or be distracted by the deviation from the path.
The Key is in Plain sight. One must LOOK for the lock it fits.

The noise shows the walkway to the entrance.

^^SEE POST ABOVE PEOPLE^^

Ok, can a mod check the IP of that poster? See if it matches any other guests and what not....

*edit: I'd just like to ensure it's an actual unique "Nova Agent" poster before I put the ol' nose back to the ol' grindstone so to speak....

*ETA: Ok, IF this is the real deal then Boba was on to something when he had me post the spectrogram of transmission7....

I'm on borrowed time as it is today here at work so can't do too much in-depth investigation but I'll be checking in periodically...

Re: Nova Agent

Unless Mr. Nova Agent can produce something a little more substantial then his cryptic lock-and-key post, I'm going to cut to the chase and raise the trusty BS flag on this. B.S.

ETA: I will be more then happy to be wrong on this, just this seems a little out of character.

The time has come, as noted previously, duties fulfilled have reached the core.

AZ and B6 have compiled notes for presidential review, but code progression has been halted by unforeseeable cryptic locks beyond our knowledge.

No further communications outbound from this channel will be sent.

Dear NovaAgent,

Your posts here are a violation of the ToS. Please read this: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5

If you afterward have any questions please email any one of the moderators or PM them for further info.

I did check btw, and the IP does not match any other registered user on here.

Hopefully the PM's have a better imagination for advancing their story forward than posting in-character here.

Ok, I think this may be legit more so now (violation of TOS aside) but for some reason I am just laughing my f^&*ckin ass off over here about the fact that he actually went to the trouble of quoting Bender. Not sure why but it just cracked me the F up!

Looks like it may be the real deal though, funny stuff aside....

*ETA: On a side note, I'd have to say ndemeter's right; a PM posting here, but as a guest seems awful strange and pretty distasteful....

Yeah, whether this is "legit" or not I don't think I really want to act on it. The fact that they posted here (and as a guest no less) is so off-putting, disappointing and out of character that I'm not really sure if I'm motivated to continue "cracking" any longer to be honest. That's if there's even any cracking left to do anyhow, man...wtf is going on with this arg? I mean seriously...

*ETA: Guess what I'm getting at is I'm pretty much hoping it isn't really them out of sheer disappointment if it were....

I actually don't think it's the PM who's posting this. They sent USB-drives to game magazines, made a highquality flashanimation (except for the password mistake) with highquality sound, played with my brain and now posting in these forums cause they don't know how to proceed? I'd doubt that.

Oh, we've already done that. In that case, please release the location of the IP address. >_>

Sorry but we are not in the habit of releasing someone's info to the public. All I can tell you is that the IP does not match anyone here. If it did they would have been sent a PM by myself or the other mods asking them to stop.

Finally, let me say that I agree with the rest of the players on here: this guest posts must be an attempt at gamejack since it's not of the quality we have come to expect so far from this. For a campaign that might be a viral for CoD:BO the guest posting seems more grassroots and lead by a PM with limited experience.

And unfortunately those attempts to mislead the players are nothing new. We seem them all the time on other bigger ARG's and I guess one might see this as an annoying badge of honor for this one as well. Smile
