Hey everyone! Sorry I've been so quiet these past few months. I just graduated college, got a job, and moved down to Alameda... but now I'm settled in, and ready to continue!

To those of you who received their passport
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Does anyone know where the "go-kart" track is? I've looked everywhere online and cannot find anything! Maybe they will tell us where to go later?

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well! Remember! Another meeting this Monday July 5th! See you there.

I'm thinking it starts at the baseball stadium hence the 'grandstand' but that is about all I can think of off the top of my head.

Ok here's a little write up about what happened at todays meeting.

at around 6:04 we got a message from the EPS saying there is ENS activity at mission and main. mission and main is where the EPS kiosk it. when we get there we find ENS coinchalance ritual drawings along with a ripped EPS banner, a deflated alien doll taped to the ground, torn up membership stamps, and a sign that says:

NANA-NANA BOO BOO, STICK YOUR HEAD IN DOO DOO!
SINCERELY, THE ENS.

Afterwards half of us we headed back to the obelisk while the other half stayed at the kiosk to wait until the countdown ended so that we'd only have half the group to catch up should the event happen somewhere else. The time, 6:32, came and went and many thought that the kiosk assault was an early firing of the event we were waiting for. It wasn't until 6:50 when the other half joined us at the obelisk that the girl who usually runs the kiosk came running to us with a letter to read.

The letter contained a infiltration report of the kiosk as well as a location of the ENS meeting headquarters. We were instructed to head to 5th and mission in front of the old mint as a group (it's only now that i realize the reason it took so long for us to get the letter is because we had split up when the letter required that we move as a group). When we got there we found an ENS package and a folder with two letters inside. One letter was the minutes from the ENS meeting.

The meeting minutes included a portion that was scratched out about a welcome party for new member Shady Gaga. If you recall, Shady was the one who kept the data nickel after last months meeting. As far as i can tell he was approached by both the ENS and the EPS for the data (with the ENS bribing him with candy). Shady went on a covert op to 'deliver' the data to the ENS but stood them up or otherwise didn't actually hand it over.

The second letter in the folder was from the ENS president, H. W. Breen, which illustrated his displeasure with the disruption of the first coinchalance ritual we interrupted, the theft of the data nickel, and the inability to get it back. It mentioned another side to the whole EPS vs ENS rivalry and said it had something to do with El Pirata (the pirate).

As for the package it contained member issue headware, glasses, and new member coin. Those items are being given to Shady.

In all a very interesting day with a lot to think about.

on a side note: i know it's nit-pickey of me but i saw some people drawing 'false nonchalance' symbols at the ENS site (that is: a hobo glyph with an x in the middle rather than a circle). This is incorrect. Remember the EPS and the ENS are both still first and foremost Elsewhere organisations. We're caught in an in-fight. false nonchalance belongs to the jejune institute and the jejune institute alone. As does bell ringing and jazz hands. If you wish to do anything just invoke UFO's and aliens since we know the ENS avoid those things. On that note the alien doll is safe with me and you can expect to see him at future meetings Smile

Thought I'd clear up a few things:

The EPS bribed me with candy for the memory card, but I was caught in traffic for six hours (!) and missed the meeting today, so I couldn't trade card for candy.

As for what everyone seems to want to know about-- the exchange with the ENS that didn't go down-- here's what happened: After a week or so of cryptic emails and texts, an ENS agent, codenamed Shadow, called to ask if I could meet him the following day at 2:00 PM. I agreed to meet him, but woke up the next morning at 10:00 am feeling very sick. I emailed and texted them to ask if the meeting could be rescheduled, or if it had to go down at that time. No reply came. At nearly 1:30, Agent Shadow called and put the ENS president on the line. He told me to be there by 2:00 or he'd send some ENS guys to break my legs. I explained that I couldn't make it from Oakland to Golden Gate Park by 2:00 and he hung up on me.

So there you have it... I don't know what exactly I could have done. I would have dragged myself out to the park if I'd known the meeting was still on, but I didn't find out until it was too late.

Anyway, the ENS seem like a mean bunch anyway, and their president is nowhere near as nice as Mr. Peppersnatcher. EPS fo life!

Also-- Goose gave me the silver box that the ENS left for me, but she said that someone else took the letter that was addressed to me. I'd like to retrieve my letter, so if the person who has it reads this, please contact me.

AH the letter, yeah sorry about that, we put it in the folder, with all of the other papers. Completely forgot about that.

Not sure who has the folder, but I'm pretty sure it's in good hands.

As for the missed meeting Gaga, don't worry about it too much. It seems like they are upset, when in all honesty they are not. The producers of this game are really good at making sure they have a plan B.

Also, glad you made it back home safe.

If anyone wanted copies shared of the letter, map and envelope that was delivered to me by the Kiosk Lady let me know and I can get them scanned in and posted.

It was great meeting everyone last night, fellow philatelists. I'm already looking forward to the next gathering.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This morning I became the first person to pick up the stamp at the new location. Warren's a nice guy.

Now to try to figure out the member access. I hope the clue isn't in the beast of an Error Classification PDF.
