But they ARE calling him The Operator, not Slenderman- could mean he's simply BASED off of Slenderman mythos, and he has his own set of rules that apply. Because he isn't called Slenderman per say, that could mean that none of the original SM canon, even from Victor Surge, applies.
I do like Sylocat's idea about him stealing people away, though. It's an interesting theory o.o there's certainly enough warping going on in the series for it to be pretty plausible.

Definitely there's the 'other dimension' aspect to think about! I'm still thinking that whatever happened to our goners, at least one of them died or was seriously hurt. I don't think the blood found in the basement belonged to Alex's bleeding scalp from #14, although that is possible. I think that it belongs to Brian, most likely!

So perhaps the big reveal may not be that their friends were taken but are still alive, but that their friends were taken and may be dead for serious. Then again, showing people lying on the ground would probably be anticlimactic after all of the 'WHERE ARE THEY?' questions that have been generated! (then again...)

I think that while they're giving him a different name, the fact that MH started out with Ce Gars posting on the SA forums (in character as Jay, of course) and the fact that he looks exactly like SM (sans tentacles) lends itself to the thought that he probably follows the SM mythos fairly closely. We'll just have to wait and see!

You ever think that the blood may not belong to Alex? Plus, with the addition of the bullet. Maybe somebody shot Brian/Sarah and they got blood on Alex.

Sorry, Jess, I should have marked that as sort of NSFW. D:

The blood on Alex did seem to be kind of strange, though I had chalked that up to the guys not knowing how to use fake blood, rather than it being not Alex's. The only reason that I could see the blood leaking down his face like that would be because he was standing under somebody dripping on him for quite a while. o_O" That's an unsettling picture.

But, as you said, they could just be bad with the blood.

Also, did you see this on playing dead?

I did, and it made me think of Slendy-deaths! Very Happy

Maybe Alex found Brian hanging up from something but not dead, and tried to end his suffering with a single bullet shot. Oooh~

The part I hate most about speculating is looking back and seeing how stupid we were.

Here's a message to future readers: We were so fucking wrong about most if not everything. Get over it. You don't have to be reading this anyway. You already know what happened. Stop it. Now. I command you.

Why be embarrassed? Nobody knew what the hell was happening and it was fun!

Oh, don't worry, Dray, they aren't really NWS.
It's not as if they're gory, or anything, it's just the uncanniness of the poses, especially the ones in public places or with living people just walking by as if they didn't notice a thing.

The tree picture made me think of the original SM mythos, too. I sort've wish there had been more pictures in the original thread about the aftermath of Slendy attacks, because something about the "unnatural" feel to them is really interesting.

And as for what you said, Stick, well, I still don't think we know what's going on. We'll probably look back on this the same way after some of the videos from Part 2 air.

Yeah, but earlier I was looking back before Totheark made his reveal. (Or at least if they are one) The theories where pretty bat shit insane. Then again, I was on another site.

By the way Dray, I just noticed that with the white face and lack of nose on your image, you sorta look like Voldemort.

More aftermath pictures would have been pretty interesting. Then again, having the whereabouts of the victims remain mysterious does seem to fit in with SM's ambiguous nature. Either way would be pretty cool. Maybe another monster could be made up where Goons fake their gory deaths would be a neat summer project, eh?

Voldemort? Me? I'm so innocent and unassuming! I'd never do anything eeeevil!

THE ARK IS SOME OBSCURE SWEDISH BAND

Behold!

Now that the Q&A has more or less confirmed that The Operator = Slendy, I did some poking around to see if the terms "ark" and "operator" have any real-world correlation whatsoever. Well, actually, I just googled "operator ark". And I found this song by a band I've never heard of before :v! IT'S THE MISSING PUZZLE PIECE, GUYS

Yeah that probably has nothing to do wth MH at all, but it amused me.

You know, something else just occurred to me.

That squabbling about whether Slendy kills his victims or not is missing the point... because we're forgetting the primary rules of narrative: If there's no body, s/he isn't dead.

And some of Slendy's victims turn up disemboweled, but definitely not ALL of them, especially not all the children.

So, my theory could still be at least partially correct: At least one of the others besides Tim, Jay and Alex are still alive, and may be the "other half" of TTA (Timasky being the half we've seen).
