About the same time I found Marble Hornets, I bought the movie Coraline. (I was just in the mood for creepy stuff right then, I guess.) I was watching it... and then I realized I was scanning the backgrounds of all the wooded scenes, looking for the Slender Man. Wrong story, Zab. *facepalm*

I'm scared to close doors fully now. I'm afraid that when I open them, I won't be where I was before.

I'm also horrified of looking through my deck curtains at night because of Entry 11.

I think this kind of crosses over with "You know you watch too much Marble Hornets when..."

I've always been paranoid to walk in the darkness.
Its the unknown, which, naturally, causes paranoia.

Before MH:
Used to tell myself I was being retarded for being paranoid in the dark. Walked at a normal speed and only got freaked out about weird coincidences. (Noises starting and stopping at coincidental times.)

After MH:
SUPER PARANOID. I can no longer walk in 90%+ darkness without having a break down. Walk as quickly as possible through my house when it's only 'some-what' dark and I'm alone. I literally go out of my way to keep my path lighted. (Ex: take a longer route to turn on a light and a longer route to turn it off, all while being in the light from another lamp.) The slightest irregular sound makes me start flippin out. I look out my windows to see if someone is out there, in my mind I think SM.

I'm actually more afraid to leave my doors open. I keep thinking that whenever I look up from the computer screen, The Operator will be standing in the hallway, right in front of my room. *Shiver*

The other night I had a dream where I woke up and saw that Slenderman was slowly opening my door. He stood in the doorway, watching me. When I tried to scream for help I was physically unable to.

I didn't go back to sleep that night.

I'm actually beginning to get a little paranoid. .-.

Today I was walking home, and I went through the door to my garage. There was a bunch of melted snow all over the floor and one puddle looked EXACTLY like Slendy, with a tentacle sticking up. I thought it was the S-Man's shadow for a second and almost DIED

When I was 3 my parents locked me up in my dad's room and he had a suit on this stand with a white foam head.I always thought it was a man...

I'm going to try and get a picture of it, but my little cousins used a Crayola toy to make me a picture which glows in the dark a couple of weeks ago. I told them make anything you want. It's been sitting in my room since. I turned it non again the other night and nearly had a heart attack. Now they know nothing of SM and I wouldn't dare tell them because they are too young for such things. Point is, the picture they made scared the daylights out of me. I don't even need to say who/what it reminded me of and when I post the pic, you all will understand.

Marble Hornets (and the general Slendy Mythos) hasn't done anything good to my psyche, I don't think. XP

I've become really paranoid and even jumpier than I used to be (which is saying something).

It doesn't help that I just moved to a new campus, and Operator Symbols are everywhere. (will take pics sometime)

At first I only noticed them around where they're doing construction, and figured it was related to that, but now I'm seeing them in places that I don't think has had construction anytime in the last several years.

But on another level, I think I'm becoming kind of obsessed, and having trouble concentrating on other things. x.x

AH! I've had the exact. same. dream. This series has basically made me go insane whenever I'm alone for an extended period of time.

I was extremely paranoid and jumpy the first night I watched the series. My boyfriend was laughing at me for constantly looking over my shoulder and not wanting to walk through dark rooms in his apartment.

I also had trouble sleeping, and all week I've been having weird dreams about people sending me cryptic video messages and weird things peeking at me from the woods. I'm loving it!

If Hollywood would take a lesson from these guys, they might manage to resurrect the horror genre. MH has terrified me more on a budget of $500 than modern horror fare has been able to do with a budget of millions. I'm thinking they give too much attention to slasher films and cheap scares. Bring back psychological horror.

I swear to fuck, if this is a Slender Ripoff, and it isn't at least decent, I will punch a kitten. Or maybe just the guy who's directing and writing it.

On topic, however, I have two little tales of SM in RL, of sorts. Both are in completely unrelated works, which also have no relation to the SM mythos.

First, from Oppenheimer quoting the Hindu Vedas, where he reads that Chrishna was trying to persuade a prince to do his duty, so he 'takes on a many armed form and says "Behold, now I am the coming death, the destroyer of worlds"'.

And then, later, reading the Scarlet Letter, where at one point one of the characters mentions something briefly about a superstition of a 'Black Man who lives in [their] forest'.

Ok, had to comment on the whole "The Tall Man" thing.

If this IS a Slenderfilm...it's going to have to be pretty amazing to appease me.

Because I prefer the idea that Slendy remain a more...fan-created thing.

Also, I don't want to have to walk into Hot Topic and see Slenderman stuff everywhere.

Of course, I'd still buy some Slendymerch, but I'd be mad about it. Razz

Edit: I just looked at the FAQ of the film, and according to it it is Slender-based.

But someone in the little forum says that The Tall Man was originally conceived before Slendy. So...we'll have to wait and see. (and if it is Slendy-based, Victor needs to get credit)
