Slenderman has really affected me pretty srsly

The day I discovered MH, I watched at least half the videos in a single session. In, I cannot make this too clear, broad daylight.

In my own living room, which opens onto the backyard through wide glass sliding doors. At the edge of the patio awning are loose curtainlike blinds.

It was a breezy day. And every time the corner of my eye caught those blinds moving in the breeze ...

MH scared the bricks out of me in BROAD DAYLIGHT.

I know I mostly just lurk and don't get very involved with discussions, but I just have to share this story:

My job starts rather early in the morning, so I normally wake up at around 5:30am. When I stay at my boyfriend's house on a weeknight, I have to get up at 4:45 or 5:00 so I can make it back to my house and get ready in time. The sun is not yet up when I leave his house in the mornings.

I am not allowed to park in his apartment complex, so I park in the neighborhood next door. So, 2-3 times a week, I find myself walking through a silent, tree-lined neighborhood, lit only by streetlamps. It puts me on edge, to say the least - especially when I've been kept awake all night by "sllee p.now" tweets.

This morning, as I walked to my car, I saw something move in the corner of my eye - my adrenaline started pumping, as I am normally the only one walking through the neighborhood that early in the morning. I turned to face whatever was off in the distance, only to see a tall figure dressed in black, with a white face. No joke. I panicked, and started to run to my car.

Of course, about halfway to my car, the figure turned to look at me and revealed... a face. A tall man in a black sweatsuit and a white baseball cap was just checking something in his garage. He had his back to me when I noticed him, so the back of his hat looked like it was his face.

I haven't been able to relax since then!

So yeah, this one's a pretty weird one for you.

The other night I was highly anticipating Entry 37, having seen on the twitter feed that it would most likely be up the next day. I then went to sleep (Would've stayed up, but work and all...)

That night I had a dream. Don't remember all of it, but the big thing was I was with a crew in a parking lot waiting on someone to show up with major Slenderman info. The guy came with his own gear, professional camera and audio equipment, so we went about preparations: Myself on camera, another person on audio and two people doing a small rotating patrol of the surrounding area just in case. Just as we were about to begin the filming, the lights in the lot and the equipment start flickering and then just shut down. Just as it happened someone called out saying they saw something, so I look over and just as the lights go out I catch a glimpse of that pale "face" and white shirt from across the street before....


I woke up.

Was quite freaky when I wake up the next morning after being denied information in my dream to be denied information in the form of entry 37...

So I was checking out the ARG website (appropriately enough) for the movie Zenith, and I came across this image:

There was a theory in the Tweetpocalypse/twitter thread where J was spelling out 'hail.' in his typos.

Cut to tonight. Since starting to watch Entry 37, the weather's been getting progressively worse here.

I can hear and see hail hitting the house. ( Not golf-ball hail, mostly just pellets. )

Last night I saw the new entry. Today I saw a huge sign outside my class saying 'Happy Birthday Alex!'

Mostly I lurk here but I had an experience of a dream that would really take place in a video like Marble Hornets.

I was walking down a trail with a friend (whom I haven't talked to in 5 years) beside me in the forest that is right by my house (great place to live while you're watching Slender Man videos huh?). Right at the end of the trail is an abandoned toolshed with the doorway facing in front. We both walked inside the shed, inside was a table, large in width. On this table was a bunch of carved messages (operator symbols, names, etc). One message read that was seemingly related to both my friend and I. It said, "LOOK BELOW." Below the table was a cardboard box with a bunch of messages on the sides and with an operator symbol on the top. We opened it and found an old photo of us, seemed like our faces were burned off from the photo. There was another message in the box at the bottom. This message said, "LOOK BEHIND U." We both looked in that direction and there he was, standing in the doorway of the shed.

I snapped out of the dream.

This pretty much scarred me from going into the forest that's by this house again.

I had a Marble Hornets dream last night.

So Troy and Joseph had decided to make the thing more ARG-y, and to do that they decided to send out 'Maskies' to certain fans, probably to drop clues. So Dray, myself, and another MH-watchin' friend of ours all got visits from 'Masky'...

...but 'Masky' was played by the guy who played tothepark, and he spent the entire time whining about how much of a jerk Alex was and how hard it is to make cryptic videos with a broken leg.

It was like the least scary Marble Hornets dream ever. I woke up and lol'd.

The light on my apartment building directly next to my bedroom window occasionally acts up. It'll start buzzing really creepy-like and decide to turn off and on randomly.

Last night, while I stepped outside for my hourly addiction ritual, I heard that combined with some kind of insect in the trees scattered around my complex. The union of these sounds created something like the Operatoresque distortion sound.
