Not if you believe the tales of der Ritter. =D

True, true, and supposedly there's this one German song (forget the actual title, but in English its "The Elf King") that has some... disturbing parallels to Slendy, and involves a kid seeing a creature in a forest he calls the Elf King that his dad can't see, who keeps trying to get the kid to join him, but the kid just screams to his dad for help, which the dad tries to dismiss as a hallucination. Eventually, the creature says he's fed up with waiting for the kid and says he'll take him by force, and then there's a disturbing moment of near-silence. Cut to the father and son making it out of the forest, and just as the father breaths a sigh of relief, he sees that his son is dead in his arms...

It seems there may be some primal fear connected to a creature with no face in a forest... perhaps Slendy's been stalking our ancestors since the dawn of time... creepy...

This thing's been hung in my downstairs hallway for as long as I can remember. It's at very least 15 or so years old (though probably somewhat older), and definitely pre-dates the Slender Man legend by a long shot. Somehow, that just makes it worse...

If you look at it just right, you can imagine that the painting represents Tim, Alex, and Jay from left to right.

Don't know if this qualifies, but I think it's a big one. My D&D group plays on Tuesdays. I've gotten the DM and his girlfriend (who also plays) interested in Marble Hornets and the Slenderman mythos in general.

Our current campaign is one taking strong influence from the Castlevania series (in particular, the plot of Simon's Quest) and we entered a mansion as part of the questline. The DM made an offhand joke about my character seeing "a thin, tall man with very long arms". I immediately joked back, asking if he had a face and why he was wearing a funeral suit.

Wouldn't you know it... Entry #40 gets uploaded a few hours later with one of our favorite characters in it. :/

GREAT. Now I have to go work at a camp all summer. F*** you, Troy. Thanks for setting this in the woods.

But really, I love them so much I can't stay angry at them. But my masky mask is going in my hiking bag to ward off the slender.

Because I'm going to pretend that that's what it does.

Not quite sure where to mention this, so sorry if this is the wrong place.

I had exams last week, the last of which was a wicked calculus test. I was studying until about midnight, filling notebook paper with derivatives and integrals, writing angry notes like "WATCH YOUR SIGNS" and "REMEMBER THE CONSTANT" off to the side. After filling the sheet with unintelligible numbers, I saw a bit of a parallel to the series. I started scribbling the generic "SEES ME," "FORMULAS EVERYWHERE," and "NO PATTERN" on it in crazy Alex writing, ending in ".hea'ds pounding." and "slleepn ow" on the bottom. I even added "Slender" in that bolded letter code everyone can figure. I promptly stuck it to the lock in a bathroom stall. Should have gotten a pic.

Can't wait to hear about the mysterious unstable student that the cops are now investigating.

Hey I've been lurking these forums for a while now but something just happened this morning that I felt I should share. I just recently got into MB, probably like a week ago and I've been super intrigued, I think the whole thing is great. I've been getting my friends into it, and last night I started showing my girlfriend MB. We got to about entry 20. Then this morning she texts me saying she got a text message from an area code she's never seen that says 41810. This is the same number that Jay get texted in entry #26. Obviously in MB that number would be more relevant since it represents a date appropriate to the timeline, but this is still incredibly strange, especially because she just started watching MB last night. Thoughts?

Jesus christ. I was just out in the woods location scouting for a fake documentary-type thing I'm going to make, and I found this hunters perch (or whatever you call it. It's a ladder that goes up a tree and theres a place where hunters can sit and watch for deer). The place was creepy enough as it is, but I was up on top, turned around and there was a tree with black bark and some of the bark was missing, which made a white/tanish color in a perfect V shape.

Jumped, fell back, but I caught the ladder. Now I don't want to go back. Embarassed

I think it's against the rules to promote your own ARG in the forum for another one . Not tying to be a dick; just thought I'd best warn you before someone else gets annoyed and has a rant.

For what it's worth, I am about to watch your videos though. Smile

After watching this, I'm so paranoid about going out after dark XD And the other day at work, my manager was coughing up a storm, which made me a bit nervous.

But that's not going to stop me from going ahead with my Slendy cosplay and scaring the crap out of friend who lives next to some woods. Very Happy

I had to make a profile just to do this because it's spreading.

At work we've got a big tv that shows all our security cameras, and lately it's been having crazy distortions on it, meant nothing before until I started watching MH, but now it freaks me out.

And just now while at home watching south park on Netflix the whole thing started distorted.

Just thought I'd share.

I think you just need to invest in some better monitors and TVs. Razz

Para-freaking-noia. I live in a wooded area right outside of a small town in Washington (the state, not US capital). I can't really go outside towards the back of my property for fear of the Man with No Face.

Just the other night I was sitting in my basement (it's more of a home theater) and I looked at a window and partially crapped myself. It was just a reflection of a light, but it looked like a white head and a white chest cut by a black strip (like Slendy's head and chest).

Another day, I woke up and thought a telescope I'm storing in my room was Slendy. It has long skinny legs and a solid part in the middle.
