I was extremely paranoid of even moving around the house, expecting to see something around ever corner. It got to be the worst when I tried to open a door, and for some reason, it wouldn't open normally. I nearly had a heart attack jostling the doorknob and looking over my shoulder in terror.

Lol I was doing that last night, looking at the original posts from SA, and I was getting seriously freaked out, and my curtains are too small to cover my window entirely. I also automatically shine my flashlight around the living room if I get up in the middle of the night.

Bustop Scares

About a couple days ago I was waiting for my bus at my bus stop. It is a 10 minute walk from my house to my bus stop. Well it is still slightly dark out and while the bus is coming up to my stop, I start coughing for absolutely no reason. I got so freaked out and started darting my head across the area until I got on the bus. Watching MH the night before made me paranoid.

Also at this very moment, my light is momentarily flickering on and off every 10 minutes and it is scaring the crap out of me.

 They got me!!

I am super new to the forum, just found it a day ago.(first post) Havent been able to stop reading all the great stuff here. I was in no need to create an account until I came across this thread. lol, it litteraly forced me to make an account just to post about how dumb I am. . . .

So here is what happened to me. .....

I started watching MH about a week ago. Watched every vid in 2 days, mainly at night BTW. finished with entry 61 late at night by myself in my living room at 2:30am and had the worst night of sleep ever. 2 hrs tops!! For the next two nights I was unable to sleep well at all. I was having these terrible dreams of masky rage'n out of my closet and stabbing me, and I kept having these half sleep / half awake dreams of slendy coming into my room and getting me. I had the worst full dreams of slendy chasing me in the woods in the dark that kept ripping me from sleep with a cold sweet. One night I woke up and did not go back to sleep with only 3.5 hrs of it!! I was super paranoid at night, always looking around. lol, I slept with the hall light on for 2 nights out of fear!! BTW, I'm 26, married with 2 kids. Im a grown ass man, and I feel dumb, but for some reason I'm ok with being super freaked out!!!

This went on for about 3 nights. for the past 4+ nights I've been fine, but JESUS NIGHT RAPE CHRIST. . REALLY?!?!?! I love watching scary stuff, and usually do at night by myself!! but this was to much for some reason. still don't know why it got to me so bad. I know I sound like a punk . lol. . but this crap scared the F* out of me. .

Also, want to show my friends but afraid they will just laugh it off and not watch it. KILLS me when they don't give it a chance and let the experience take them for a ride.

last note. I live in a apartment and my desk is by a window and as I'm typing there are so many creepy noises outside ATM. lol, It makes me feel like slendy is dancing right out side my window waiting for me to take a look!!! lol Cough. . Cough. . Shocked

I've been a member for a while but this is my first post..

Anyway, I started watching Marble Hornets about two months ago. My best friend told me about a year and a half ago about slendy and I just forgot. I came upon a thread about him whilst googling paranormal stuff (the SA thread which started as paranormal pictures and ended up being a slendyfest). From there on I was HOOKED and read all the stories people had posted and started watching the MH videos as they were posted.

Slenderman/MH has really affected my life. I'm one of those people who is really paranoid and sometimes I "see things". When I first started watching MH/reading about slendy, I was so terrified I slept downstairs on the sofa with the light on every night for a week, because I didn't want to keep my partner awake. By slept I mean stayed awake all night thinking every noise and bump was slendy tapping at my windows.

Once I got over that and started sleeping in bed again, I had to buy a lamp for the stairs because slendy was always at the bottom of my stairs (we have an open staircase) and I needed the light to make him disappear.

And then the dreams started. I dream about slendy all the time. Every night. Some of the dreams are funny (one time slendy was my dad and I was a girl slendy. It was quite funny scaring the shit out of everyone in my dream, and we - I mean slendy and I - both had octopus tentacles instead of arms) and some are downright terrifying (being chased through the woods by slendy and co/having my organs ripped out by slendy's tentacles and being impaled on trees, etc etc)

Also I love the pic of the mannequin who looks like slendy. That would freak me out big time. I'd expect it to start moving Laughing

Lately I have been so entrenched in Marble Hornets, I have been looking for symbols, anagrams and clues in EVERYTHING. TV shows, paperwork, etc. Signs everywhere. Looking closely. Always watching, behind the curtain.....

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I started watching MH just 3 days ago, just finished the second season yesterday night.

In my case, my real life experience made me look for MH. I not sure if I should post it here, but I need to tell somebody what's happening, sometimes I can't even believe it. and since I started watching MH, everything got worst.

As far as I can remember, everything started around October 2008. Even though some strange things happened in the house I use to leave, back in 2002, but I didn't have all the symptoms, but maybe slendy was already after me back then.
Luckily enough, I haven't seen slendy (or masky/hoodie), perhaps because I have no video camera.
I guess is just paranoia, I want to believe is not real, I know is not real, but this shit is freaking me out.

My symptoms include a lot of the things Jay and Alex show in the tapes, insomnia, memory loss, irritability.
They are not present every time, it's more like cycles, for instance, every 3/4 months, I'll have some kind of memory loss, I won't remember some things I did in the short term, and people will insist I did, but I frankly can't remember.
Insomnia also "works" this way, I will have periods of 4/6 months, with insomnia, sleeping no more than 3/4 hours during the night, and then, almost like magic, I'll have a period of 2/3, that I need to sleep 12 hours per day.
Irritability, is almost persistent, and is the one I can recall as the first symptom, back in 2002. I always associate it with the birth of my first child, tight money, and things like that. Also I became much more aggressive.
General sickness it may be listed as a symptom also, it's some kind of gastric sickness, and it's something chronic, this also happened to my child, in 2002/2003, every couple of months, he would have the worst stomachache, that would last just a couple of days. Not sure if it's related or not.

I'm trying to remember things as I type, some things that in the past seemed irrelevant, and now everything makes sense. I'm making a big puzzle, and every piece now matches.

But what started happening in the last couple of months, it's freaking me out, now that I start thinking, everything started getting worse about 3 months ago, when my wife got pregnant.
Since then, 2 of the TV's in my house got a rainbow effect in the crt, the monitor in my kids computer (also crt) broke, not sure what happened, it just broke from one night to the next morning.
Radios will start making static noise, for no apparent reason, and fix by itself after a couple of minutes, even the TV image will have interference, even though it's cable, and the image goes back to normal after a couple of minutes.

Again, I don't know if this is the best place to post it, I'm not even sure if I should post it.

Friend of mine has a Slender profile picture on Facebook. What follows is the conversation:

Me: Slender. Nice.
Him: Cheers. It's clearly what you should be doing for Halloween.
Me: I did that two Halloweens ago, last year I was Masky.
Him: Masky?
Me: Yeah, from Marble Hornets. You know, the guy who tackles Jay.
Him: Marble Hornets?
Me: Goddammit you're one of those guys! Get watching Marble Hornets!
Him (after watching a video or two): Oh yeah, I have a friend who was into that shit a few years ago. not shit as offensive it was quite o.o what next

He then went offline.

Hey, sorry for any mistakes. I'm a forum noob. Tell me if I did any of this wrong, and I couldn't find any guides ;;

Anyways, I've had a reoccurring dream that, until recently, had nothing to do with Slendy. The original dream, or rather, more of a nightmare, was me, in some sort of dungeon/basement. I then found myself encountered with Wrath and Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood). After being tortured and interrogated by them for a long period of time, Pride entered the area and, after questioning my non-compliance, held me down with his iconic shadow tentacles for Wrath to then stab me. Now, in this recent dream, Wrath was Masky and Envy was Hoody. And, as you may have guessed, Pride was Slendy. Now, he didn't say anything, he just picked me up, and Hoody said those things for him. Masky came up to me, and with a knife at my throat, starts... er, undressing me. Long story short, he raped me, and I'd rather not talk about that. I woke up at around 3:00 AM that morning, seriously shaken disturbed by the dream. It took me a few days to sleep again.

I still watch Marble Hornets, and I am affected by that dream. I am, obviously, much more paranoid then I used to be. However, the sight of Masky gives me horrible nausea and pain.

*Edited for length's sake, thanks, DaturaStramonium.

The bolded parts should have been removed while the miniature quotation boxes should have been added in.

There is no need to add in all of those frivolous details. It sounded like a bad fan-fiction by one more of those deluded children of our age obsessed with all of these grandiose fictions people continue to produce, whether it be cartoon, anime, literature or the like. I see too much of it and I'm now irritated if anything reminds me of it, so I apologize if I sound harsh here.

Welcome to the forums; although this is a strange thread to tell you about 'proper forum speech', as usually that is acceptably omitted in threads like this, I suggest you type as how you would speak formally and avoid going into unnecessary or strange details when you could simply summarize the lot. This doesn't mean you have to remove all forms of human tone or personal word. You should simply go around and read others posts and use your own judgment on what to write in your own threads or posts.

If you stay here, I again welcome you and hope that we can see your input into the cesspool of speculation here that we so dearly love.

...Crap, It really does sound like a fanfiction. Which is something I really don't like all too much. I am an avid writer, though, so I guess that did affect the synopsis. I see, though. It's changed. I'm also one of those people that really scrounge for detail in literature, so I was being selfish. Thanks for the advice, friend.

No problem. I wouldn't call it selfish, as nearly all new posters to first time boards write without knowledge to what is 'acceptable'. And remember, the writing should consent to the board type, the thread type, and what people are expecting to hear, so on a different board what you wrote could be perfectly acceptable. It's simply that this board is a bit more formal(the use of this word as a description would make some people here laugh though); again, if you read how others post I'm sure you'll understand.

MI'm normally extremely formal to the point of people telling me to stop it, so I'd thought I'd try being less so. Trial and error, I suppose. C'est la vie.

The following things are now terrifying:

--Whenever I cough, or hear someone else coughing.
--Any technical difficulties; most often of my computer or phone.
--Walking my dog in the woods in the evening, especially the sound of walking on dry twigs (I guess that's more because of Slender: TEP)
--Watching any amateur video.

Also, the I watched the whole first season in a day and kept waking up that night. It doesn't help that my bedroom is so small that Slendy would have to be literally standing over me in my bed.

A couple of things that affect me: first off, my bedroom(and the whole lower half of the house) is halfway below ground and there's this slope that goes up to meet where the sidewalk is. I find myself looking out my bedroom window, expecting to see Slenderman or Hoody standing out there.

Also, I have been writing my own Slendy blog and recently lugged my laptop to the only nearby patch of woods to record a clip for it, but I'm thinking about buying a video camera to make it easier on myself.

The best part is that you won't need to invest in an editing software. Slendy does all that for you! Very Happy
