As in, she wants to meet you in person? I'd go for it, Dagada!!! You are not the target that Claire is, so you'd be safe...and doing a face-to-face meetup would be SO fun ...and you could potentially learn a lot.

Just make sure that if you do go, you bring something to keep track of things. A notebook, laptop, digital voice recorder, ect. So you can come back with everything and don't lose any important info.

Had a chat with V on the MoA Ning. Much harder to cut and paste chat from there than from FB, and I lost some of the beginning.

Anyway, when I logged on, Aethalides had some lines of chat still displayed, but I can't see them anymore . There were 4 lines...I think one of them was some kind of good evening greeting, one of them was something like, "Guess which herald pulled the short stick re staying late in the office on a Friday night", the third was "Not here" (familiar from a letter sent to James...by JPW, if I recall correctly), and the 4th started off something like, "well, then" and I can't remember the rest .

It took V a while to get my attention, as I was looking at another tab in my browser. She asked me how my day was; I said really good; she said for her, too; she asked, "You're a teacher, right?" and I confirmed; I told her about the upcoming job interviews I have next week to try to move work closer to home; she said Orpheus had scanned my computer and found lots of lesson plans and other school-related stuff (wouldn't have been necessary for the PM to scan my computer to figure that out...both the PM and IG Claire know I'm a teacher from previous conversations); I wished her a Happy Friday. I hope I remember all the important stuff . Here's the rest:

So, new pic up. Party photo 1. Missing letters in the caption spell out "william." Turns out the image is an illustration for the short story "William Wilson" by E.A. Poe. Apparently the locations the semi-autobiographical story were based on where the community in which Poe resided north of London when he was in boarding school.

I got the second email as well.
In the original, non Google-docs version, there's a blank 628 x 520 image there. Using brightness/contrast, color balance, ect hasn't given me anything but empty, blank space. Deleting the picture and highlighting the entire doc gives this in the pic's place

The poem makes me think of an observatory- there's at least one around here (at Boston University, I think) that has a copper dome that's gone green. (If it's not been knocked down, now that I think of it...)

Perhaps the Imperial War Museum in London? It has a green copper dome and a crest above the entrance. [A fairly good picture of the latter here.] It's the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom, symbol of the British monarch. Dunno about the "First aflame, then hidden face" bit though.

Given that Tiphys was an astronomer Royal, I wonder if this is the London planetarium now situated at... Greenwich. (Previous London Planetarium was located at Baker street next to Madam Tusauds)
Next eclipse is a total solar on July 11, a little late for us I think.
Don't know if his crest is there, haven't found any obvious pics, that said the Imperial War museum crests at the end of the guns are as yet unidentified?
Oh, Dyson family crest is a beaming sun
Also, Tracey Caldwell Dyson is a Nasa Astronaut with over 300 hours in space.

Nice, the claw. <3 planetariums and was also checking there. The Baker St. one had a massive green copper dome. Not sure about the Greenwich one 'tho. Do you know?

Of course, when the The Old Royal Observatory was commissioned in 1675 "the king also created the position of Astronomer Royal to serve as the director of the observatory " so the Tiphys (Dyson)connex applies there, too. Am of two minds. Not
