Once again THX, Dreamer, for the exciting chat log. Mentioned to Claire that V had somehow blogged today. Her Reply:

Right I'm setting off for London now. It will take around two hours. Will speak to you later.

From Poeas again. I had written to her, telling her the code.

Quote:
Thank you.
I DO appreciate it I really DO.
I've a feeling to go to the Ministry, but not yet. Liek a link to something more, something pulling strings together but unsure what.
I googled that number - some weird stuff on wikipedia but makes sense of the password reminders now though.
Thanks once again - I think I'm going to get the machine. I'm afraid to use it but people are wanting me to do something...

Back now.

Heh...Poeas and Claire might just run into each other, seeing as they're both planning on getting the machine!

I do wonder how Orpheus will play into the remaining events, seeing as he's missing right now and all.

Aethalides and Ancaeus having a chat on the Ning...I'll use Ae for Aethalides & An for Ancaeus:
Quote:
Ae: All alone. No-one else in the offices now. Just me. Me and the security cameras, continually patrolling, monitoring, examining.
Look at them, sucking up all that energy, taking it from our large independant generator here under the observatory.,..[so this confirms for sure that the Ministry is under the observatory]

An: Hello old friend - I'm at home using the laptop you kindly lent me - much sier than the heavy clnky machines at PC1-3...
esier sorry easier

Ae: Glad things are better now my friend - though I wnder what will happen later...

An: indeed - are you well A?

SO...looks like the security cameras will pick up Claire &/or Poeas. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Oh, and neither of them is in chat right now.

ETA: Oh, hey. Poeas capitalized DO twice. Those are the initials of Dagaz Othala...are we being told to DO it? or something else?

Two messages from A:

The path ahead is now foggy.
What can you see from the owl's nest as it were?

I'm an old man and wanting this over. This night is hot, unnaturally hot, especially for may.
The church is scaffolded due to its foundations being "altered" - how is it that what we do is good yet has such a bad effect?
Am I a bad man?

You would be best away from this boy. Before it ages you too.

Tom heck I'll use my whole name Thomas Bisset Best - mouthful huh?

Thought this might be of interest, not relevant now of course, but has all about the Ministry sorry the Observatory's security an routes. Will take a few days to sign out and lease but might be of interest for someone?
The Janus library is very informative about many matters actually. I often flick through, seeing as it is either myself or Aethalides who end up doing the filing there anyhow.

those links are potentially very interesting....

Annoyingly it keeps crashing when I try to get into the Dyson sections. I wonder if there's anything related to The runes - 23,24 - that could help? Or the passnumber?

I need my beauty sleep shortly. If anyone discovers anything, please let P and C know asap!!

OH. WOW.

Started clicking around some more info at the site Ancaeus linked, noting mention of Dyson there. From http://janus.lib.cam.ac.uk/db/node.xsp?id=EAD%2FGBR%2F0180%2FRGO%208 :

Quote:
Later in 1894 he married Caroline (Carrie) Bisset Best (d. 1937), with whom he went on to have two sons and six daughters.

So...Ancaeus could be related to Dyson???

-----

Ok, I was looking up rune meanings, but a convo with Poeas is having me worried.

Told her Orpheus was missing, in passing. Didn't realize she didn't know.

She totally flipped out.

And immediately (pretty much) asked where Ancaeus is.

I asked if Aethalides could track the laptop he loaned Ancaeus...she doesn't think he's that techy, but she could do it if she gets inside.

Good spot RE the A / P family link. I'd asked that a while ago but not found anything to confirm it until now.

theclaw and I are trying to guide Claire through the Ministry right now with Poeas in the car, but really hard to use this "map" based on the descriptions we're getting from her. Wish us luck...

ETA: I think we got her caught Sad. She's been quiet for some time now.

ETA2: nevermind, she's OK, phew...but now the cameras will show her AND Poeas escaping together, so the Ministry will know they're working together.

Beaut team work, The Claw and Dreamer! And kudos on the impressive Ancaeus/Dyson link you found. Wish my comp and my eyelids hadn't been crashing and I'd seen it before I slept....

because Ancaeus' genealogical connex combined with Orpheus' absence sends a chill down my spine, feeling that V is now in even deeper peril. Accept that I'm alone in feeling this and will be the first to do the happy dance when V is found safe where Claire left her. Casting aspersions on such an eloquent, elderly gent is pretty outré but it would be coy to post otherwise. Sad

Anyway, feel free to ignore this post as the emphasis today should be on the mega job y'all did. Congrats again!

MOANing change

OK, the page for the MOA has changed it's colours and has a new badge.
Ancaeus has started a new discussion:
Quote:

'A new day' in fiction
Ever drifting down the stream --
Lingering in the golden gleam --
Life, what is it but a dream?

Dear students,
I recall a letter, from my 21st birthday, from my father.
I will try and find it later. Probably not important. Anyhow back to lecturing - could all my students please ensure that they have read the above passage in full, sourcing it appropriately and be prepared to give comment in our online discussion later. Thank you.
Tom.

Poem is Life is but a Dream http://www.poetry-archive.com/c/life_is_but_a_dream.html by Lewis Carroll.

New Latin phrase beneath the sheild translates to Wisdom and Doctrine Steadfastness.
Going to locate source of badge.
EDIT- erk, just realized Vanessa isn't on the members list.

Rats! Beaten because I am too lazy to leave my bed and my iPad! Smile

I thought that we had another two hours before changes occurred. Perhaps I fail at time zone maths. With the changes, do we know if Vanessa is still in existence?

EDIT: What does "RGO" stand for?

including their badge and famouus motto: "Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times."

LAWL celendis. I so know that timezone-challenged feeling. Smile
