I belive that Poeas is a non-player character who has a bit of a nasty streak. (If it's one of you instead...uh...sorry !)

Before I'd got my codename, I mentioned in the Recruitment forum thread that I'd update my profile once I'd got it.

Poeas replied, "Have my code name... Perhaps you upset them>>>"
Aethalides responded to him/her in turn,
"Please don't wind up the recruits.
Thank you."

I notice today that Poeas has also responded to the forum thread Pictures, in which Ancaeus was basically asking if we needed to have a butterfly picture as our avatar. Poeas' reply: "hehhehe - suckup - doing a buterfly pic - like who else huh huh??? *poke*"

So...yah.

On the Claire front...remember that V said in a blog post (titled Feb. 7 for me) that JPW hadn't actually kidnapped Claire, but had "recruited her, explained the situation to her and told her that she needed to help get me down to there so we could talk"?

Well, I brought that up with Claire yesterday, and Claire has now remembered that she was NOT recruited...she was definitely kidnapped. She also says, "John is dangerous. I need to sleep now, but i'll talk to you tonight."

Poeas is definitely an interesting one. I just got a message from her regarding finding out more about the "true" ministry...I'll post more about that once I get a reply.

The message included this line: "Masks of action, which I have brought you hidden." That's a line from a poem about Neoptolemus convincing Philocetets to go fight in a war that is ultimately won with the use of the Trojan Horse.

I just noticed that Poeas added "music", but it's not music. It's a youtube video. I got super excited thinking it would be a clue/puzzle/something, but it's Boomtown Rats "I Don't Like Mondays"

The broadcast date is 18th April 1980. Could it be the whole 8 thing? also the woman who inspired the song injured 8 children. The opening line is "the silicon chip inside her head had switched to overload" Maybe it could be linked to the whole mind control thing? I'm really clutching at straws here lol!!

It's interesting to note that in the clip "I don't like Mondays" is preceeded by "Someone's looking at you."

Oddly, the only event listed on April 18, 1980 on Wikipedia is Zimbabwe gaining independence from the UK. Not that I think there's any connection, but better to get it out there and see if it sparks any other ideas. Also, I think there's more in the crest on the cross images than in the actual crosses themselves. Not sure how to pursue that train of thought, but if anyone can decipher the meaning of the crest we may have a bit more of a clue as to the Ministry's origin.

Edit: Looked more into understanding crests; found that heraldry deals directly with coats of arm and crests.

I know Telos disagrees with me (which is fine as I could be totally off-base here), but I think the tower where Claire was held was somewhere in London, and that we've been hinted in that direction.

If you go away from the London Eye along Westminster Bridge Road, you get to a bridge (duh), then Bridge Street, then Birdcage Walk. (Oh, zooming in I can see that Great George Street connects Birdcage Walk to Bridge Street, too.) I know she said to Telos that she was pretty sure there were birds where she was, but she's also described where she was as smelling like a birdcage. Aethalides posting the song Westminster Bridge also gives me pause. Maybe we should look for bell towers in that area?

Also, when the changing of the guard happens, the new guard arrives via Birdcage Walk.

Did some snooping around as to the artists and songs in that playlist. Djivan Gasparyan is under the "All Saints Records" label whose name is derived, get this, from All Saints Road in West London. I'm thinking Variation 24 must have some significance as well, but I've not yet been able to piece them all together.

Also I have the right half of the crest on the cross images; "Rampant Lion" and "the tower" are the symbols. Can't make out the other two in the pattern on the left. As those were posted within an hour or so of the songs I would imagine they may be connected since The Herald posted the heraldic images. Interestingly the owl in the Ministry logo represents vigilance. Now to decipher the rest of that crests meaning.

The tower of london has a bell tower that has some very famous ravens. It also has the royal connection. Went onto aa route finder and plotted the route from the London Eye to the Tower of London:

That route has the St George reference, Cross reference, Westminster Bridge and of course the Tower. Also the Marathon had to be rerouted as it used to pass the Tower of London as the cobble street outside was considered dangerous.

Edit: also Big Ben is a huge clock which could tie in with the clock in Claire's dream?

Edit: Also this may be a shot in the dark but the building of the bell tower began during the reign of Richard the Lionheart. The Bell Tower was used to imprison those that wouldn't change religion from Catholic to Henry VIII Church of England. Very Very tenuous I know but Claire's mask was the Vanessa butterfly with III on the Bridge of her nose. We all call Vanessa V and the III makes 8 in roman numerals. As I said very tenuous, but it might mean that the MOA may be trying to introduce anew religion or belief set.
