I am in, looks like it might be good and it is summer after all. But I agree, a little too much of a mess of things in such little time to keep straight. Can some awesome person sum it up in detail? (I have a good idea by what has been posted but prob not all that good)

 		Brief Summary
Here's a brief summary off the top of my head, since someone above asked:

Obrad has a secretarial service who has a client called Gutelieb. Some correspondence for Gutelieb arrived at Obrad's office and they opened it. It was from another group essentially telling Gutelieb to ease up on their tactics of dealing with people. Obrad asked an attorney friend to check into Gutelieb, but they apparently intimidated the lawyer and are less than pleased that Obrad has investigated them.

In the meantime, Jeremiah Webber was a dealer in occult artifacts and things of that nature who had some dealings with Gutelieb. He came across a grimoire that Gutelieb would have interest in, but he sold it to another buyer. Herod, acting as an agent of Gutelieb, shows up at Webber's. He tells Webber that he has Webber's daughter, and he can either kill himself or something bad will happen to his daughter, Suzanne. Webber then takes his own life. A picture of Webber is on Jimmy Jewel's blog.

Jimmy Jewel is a bar owner/smuggler and Earle works for him. Joel Tobias, Bobby Jandreau, Damien Patchett and Ricardo Sanchez are soldiers home from the war in the Gulf who are involved with some smuggling operation of their own and are starting to squeeze in on Jimmy Jewel's business.

Damien was hearing voices that kept getting louder and more frequent. He would talk a little bit about it, but Joel was less than sensitive about it. The voices got too much for Damien and he took his own life. The newspaper article I posted is about Damien, but the part I found interesting was the part about the phrase "I will drink your blood", which sounds a bit occultish in nature.

Just speculation, but maybe Joel was the buyer (or finder) of the grimoire that Webber had, and that's what was causing Damien's problems. If that's the case, then I bet that grimoire is what Herod is after.

Anyone feel free to correct me or add to it. This is mostly from my memory, which is suspect at times Smile

Joel and Herod are both apparently looking for a video from a guy named Proctor, who Damien Patchett was in contact with. They are trying to get information about a "box"

 		Thanks for the update Jacks - looks like the pace is picking up a little.

Will be interesting to see if you make any progress with Herod re. the video as he seems to be a little touchy to say the least Smile He's gone quiet on me re. resources in London but will poke again to see what happens. In the meantime I've got an email dialogue started with Joel's girlfriend (Karen Emory) to see if that will tell us any more about Joel's rather suspect activities:

 		Good job working on Karen. I was hoping someone would try that. I've been trying to talk to Bobby Jandreau since he seems so upset with how Joel has been about Damien's death.

I'm trying to get Herod to give me some info about the box, so hopefully we can learn something from that.

I tried to follow Charles Parker, but haven't been accepted yet. Angel and Louis have been pretty quiet so far.

Edit: Just sent a message to Proctor through YouTube letting him know that we are trying to help him. I also asked him for info about the box.

Proctor has posted a new video up - will take a closer look when I get back from work tonight but on first glance one thing that struck me was the phone jack. I'd assumed that the current action was all taking place in the NE USA but that looks like a UK phone jack and a British Telecom removable plate socket - relevant or red herring?

I don't think that's anything significant, just that our PM is in the UK.

Bobby Jandreau knows who Proctor is, but I am trying to get more info from him. Haven't heard anything back from Herod yet. The second vid Proctor posted was pretty sweet though.

A Charlie-Parker-ARG?. That's outright awesome! I <3 the Charlie Parker books, especially Angel and Louis are unusual and splendid characters. Thanks for the article on ARGNet!

 		I have to admit that this campaign *is* drawing me to the books. Some of the characters drew my immediate sympathy, while others, my immediate and unalloyed dislike. So, it's nice to see that there's a Charlie Parker fan out there to attest to the novels. Wink

I wish I could've been a little more involved in this game, but real life has been really busy lately. Hopefully, I can be a little more active in the coming days.

Re: Harold's second video: That there's a shot directly of that weird phone jack (and the weird phone plug that you use in those jacks) in the 2nd video, plus that it ends "on location" does make me think that it is significant that Harold is in the UK.

hi everyone...
i just found out yestarday about this game....
(im trying to keep up but at work i can't acces fb so its difficult to have the whole picture)

question....
there are two "sides"..... right? if I make contact with one side... it is possible that the ones at the other side dont pay attention o respond? Or the game its not THAT complex to the admins to notice that...
I mean (excuse my spelling.... this is not my mother languaje)... if I came in touch with Jimmy, and Angel and that part of the group.... the other part dont...?

this is the first time i see this kind of game... its amazing to watch come to live to this caracters i've came to love... and i dont want to ruin it by interviene in a stupid way... so... i participated a little bit... but i think i will just read, watch and wait
