[Trailhead] Priestly Industries Compliments of a guest poster in the "spam" thread...
http://priestlyindustries.com/
Five players competing for TEN BILLION DOLLARS. And there's one riddle up already.
The players so far:
- LeslieSwig
- Luke Crenshaw
- Ethel
- Virginia Jean Dow (has blog: http://virginiajean.blogspot.com/ )
...and the fifth is to be selected.

There's no way this is actually going to pay out ten billion dollars. Neither Gerard Priestly nor Priestly Industries exist, and the website is just a standard cookie-cutter WordPress blog, theme and all, which doesn't ring with a contest that has a backer who can afford to give out ten billion dollars. Frankly, I'm not exactly sure what to make of it at this point.
My current theory is that we won't really be competing for the money, but trying to find out what happened to the contestant that went missing, which was mentioned in the video, and possibly investigating some other mysterious happenings surrounding the contest that have yet to occur or be uncovered as of yet, maybe even having to do with Mr. Priestly's death or past.
On another note, both Gerard Priestly and Sally Ann Whiterose have LinkedIn pages.
I also called the number on the homepage. Attached is a recording of the call. Naturally, I chickened out when it came time to leave a message.

Here's the recording of the call I made. I got the message machine.

He got a law degree and *then* a PhD in Chemical Engineering? Uh... yeah...
I do find it amusing that he went to the University of Georgia for two years, yet "lettered in golf" for three.
And I show no trace of Jan Hendrik De Boer ever being at NCSU...
Yeah, if you're reading this PM... we're *that* picky.

If I were a PM and I wanted to have a fake prize, I'd use the most giant amount of money possible to make it clear that it wasn't real. Ten beeeeeeeeeeeeeellion dollars seems to be enough.

I noticed no one has posted a solve on the blog riddle...
Quote:
A group of sisters do I belong, two less than the inspiring daughters of Zeus, I do not reside in the heights of Olympus but dwell in the mornings side.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"The inspiring daughters of Zeus" = the Muses / There were nine of them. / 9-2=7 / "Group of [seven] sisters" = Pleiades
(I'm a little unsure of this next part, for the record.)
Alycone
-married Ceyx, son of the morning star
-is easternmost star, and thus closest to the morning
-is the brightest in the constellation
Whether it is of any use or purpose to us is to be determined by someone braver than me? Good luck with your ten beeeeeeeellion dollars. =P

I actually got that the moment I saw "sisters", and mailed in my answer yesterday without telling anyone. No response yet, though.

I like the idea of 10 billion dollars more than 10 billion dollars.

Some updates, and a new puzzle!

Btw, it seems to me that Mr. Priestly is in denial.
