It looks extremely amateurish. No ARG i've seen announces that it's a trailhead.

I would have to agree, though the idea of a lost expedition is a good one.

Signed-up.
Can anyone identify the third from last glyph on the Guidesnote page ? I found the Unicode equivalents for all the others.
╪╒╘╝╡⌐┼ ⌡≡ ∩▫ ≈‡
256A 2552 2558 255D 2561 2310 253C 2321 2261 2229 e802 e801 ? 2248 2021
And... Is [redacted] a character or did the author make a faux pas?
ETA: Additional characters from the source of the password page:
Quote:
Rachel Murcheson (43) - Murcheson's grand-daughter
Raul Murcheson (63) - Murcheson's illegitimate son (living in West Djahar)
Strom Sturdevant (30) -Sturdevant's grand-son
John Harriman (83)- Harriman's younger brother
Pirrup Legerdemain (50) - "Legerdemain's" son
Would the building referred to in:
Quote:
"Swampoodle's bane, at Tiber's end,
Look up to find, an artisic grind,
six graven figures who tend the attic,
the pass word there you will find."
be the GPO, Union Station or some other building?

Try 25AB 'small white square' in Arial MT Bold.
Where is there a signup?
I think the page has changed? There's an image at any rate linked to the words 'text in purple?'

Would you believe I looked at the stinkin' picture and didn't even notice the name?
Not making sense of the missing glyph.
To get to the sign-up, go through the first password round ("!" link and "!apw0rD" password) and select the "7764 041 307" link when it activates. The password for that link is "themis".
2 more clicks and you're there.

Message from Guestbook Owner: Murcheson Expedition
--------------------------------------------------------------
Expedition News:
Raul Murcheson is angry with you for not responding to his post on Craigslist about the Murcheson Journal.
Be kind to your fellow "ARGers" please leave this link in the following "official" discussion group - http://murchesondiscussion.wordpress.com/http://murcheson
although the link seems partially broken, think it means they want us to use their wordpress account and not unfiction?

You will be asked for some personal information - you can answer all of the questions, some questions, or none at all (although you'll have to rely on other people to keep the ball rolling).
We will not display your information on any site, it's for our use only to make things seem 'real'.
We've also encrypted and posted our email(s) & cell phone number(s) somewhere you're most likely to look. Look to use 'xpos' on the cypher.

OK I signed up and got the same message about craigslist. I will watch and help when I can. Not sure what to think about this. They seem to be going out of their way to make sure we know this is a game.

No. They're different characters.
144E is "TI" in the Canadian Syllabic arena.
2229 is the Intersection Math operator.
You can verify by running browser searches on the associated pages:
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/144E/index.htm
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/2229/index.htm
ETA: Has anyone emailed vzer3sd8SPLAT veriz0n.com ?
From the first post by "mreklektik" on the IG fora).

Nuthin' for craigslist.
The only other thing that seems like it might be a lead is the one link titled, "7764 041 307" which seems like it could be a phone number (backwards) but doesn't go anywhere (Your call cannot be completed as dialed).
The 703 area code is for Axexandria VA, which is very near to DC and is where Mreklektik appears to hail from.
All of this supposes he's set himself up as a character and is not a player further into it all than we are just throwing random, coded hints out to the IG fora (that he seems to have created). Hard to tell and hard to gauge how much to share about someone who may only be a player. Proceed with caution.
