For those of you wondering about browsers working and not, simplify your roll call:
Safari, Chrome = WebKit engine = works
Firefox = Gecko engine = works
IE = Trident = works
Opera = Presto = fails

And, um...

42E, you are ultimate uber-awesome for having the Daft Punk tracks on Sam's MP3 player. On the off chance Daft Punk ever comes across this too - merci!

Ugh... just spent the last couple of hours blasting 999 of those bad boys (whilst doing other stuff alongside it), and it seems the badge didn't register...

It's not that bad, you scroll the wheel to the right to the first number. You have to pass it once and then stop on it on the second pass. Then turn it left and pass the number you need once before stopping on it on the second pass too. Then turn right directly to the last number and click the U. I got it on my first try so I know you guys can do it.

I tried the combo first as a normal lock requires (spinning it past the number one time on the second number) and couldn't get it to open. I then tried it by just going exactly to the numbers and then clicking on the tab that the lock is looped through and it opened. It may work both ways and I just messed it up on my first attempt.

Amazon Capoeira

Ok, I am SO HAPPY Brazil was part of the ARG! And they made a good job with the amazoncapoeira.com.br site, though I notice some strange things. They misspelled a lot at quem_somos : "para a 'boca da roda,'para principalnagear". It looks like they put it in Google Translate and accidentaly cut some words apart... Very Happy

And at the end, there's "força, graça, confiança e auto-expressão criativa -- todos os elementos do jogo!!" what can be translated as "power, grace, confidence and creative auto-expression -- all the elements of the game!!". All the elements of the game? Interesting.

But if 42E is listening, Amazon Capoeira is a terrible name. First, I don't see where Amazon connects with the site, and second, it's in English! Anyway, Rio Fiamente??? It doesn't even exist! Confused

EDIT: What does the underlined letters at the Digital Gaming book say? I know the first letters are Encom, and the last are "in line" but the rest doesn't make sense for me.

EDIT2: LOL http://www.aritanacapoeirabrasil.com.br/ It looks like they googled capoeira and thought Aritana was a good name for a capoeira master...

And a HUGE HUGE LOL at Luis Ignacio Melo Silva!!!! Man, the brazilian president is Luiz Inácio (Lula) da Silva

There are MANY things, people and places in this and other ARGs that don't really exist.

Could it be that there was a misspelling of "Fijamente"?
Or possibly a subtle reference to another phrase, altogether; (río fijamente)?

EDIT: Fixed fat-fingering.

I was trying that with ".htm" at the end a few days ago, but the "internet explorer error" shows up instead. Dang if I could just have removed that ".htm" thingy.. :p

You have to open the lock without releasing the mouse button. That's how I got mine working....

Re: [PUZZLE][SOLVED] Where is Sam Flynn?/Locker Puzzle
Re: Dumont Shipping

Ah, nothing like missing the release (and prompt solve) of a bunch of new puzzles...

But does anyone see any kind of pattern/puzzlyness in the shipping reports?

Yea, there is a pattern. Leave the rest to you. Smile

So I see that the cities match the HQs on the Encom site, but is that all? The order of the entries seems odd to me. The table is not sorted by Date/Time Shipped or Date/Time Received, either ascending or descending. Could the dates and/or times be concealing something else?

(Not that it would make much sense from the point of view of the story for Dumont Shipping, a subsidiary of Encom, to be hiding messages, but who knows?)

I was just thinking that last night. Seriously...Sam disappears, and in an old book of his in a locker, the letters are underlined leading to...an Encom reveal site? Does he know when they make that stuff live? Is he working with them, or does this mean he's able to hack into their system?

It doesn't really fit in story that Sam would have access to their machines to put up a countdown. Because if Encom did it, then why wouldn't *they* release it, and if he did it, wouldn't Encom shut it down as soon as they caught wind of it?
